Polar Lights Mach V Question
Edsel-Dan replied to 64SS350's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I have the Snap of it too. Would like to see the difference in the Glue kit. Bet it is a lot like the 66 TV Batmobile, Most of the basic parts are identical between versions. -
A number of Modern Tool AMT kits have a Separate frame and Floor board. 57 Chevy Bel Air and Chryler 300, 58 EDSEL Pacer, 62 Thunderbird, 62 Bel Air/Impala SS convertible, hardtop & convert 66 Olds 442., and 66 Riviera The 62 Impala/Bel Air and 66 Riv have a narrow 'X' frame. No side rails Moebius' Hudson Hornet also has a separate frame. Not sure about their 55 Chrysler, but bet it does.

Polar Lights Mach V Question
Edsel-Dan replied to 64SS350's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Also, due to this being base on a Cartoon, it may be a little harder to determine actual size. Look at P-L's Scooby Doo Mystery Machine Van & the Jetson's Air car. Both of those are scaled to the figures included and are larger than 1/24. More likely 1/20-1/16. Homer Simpson's Car too. -

Thanks for that warning. I was going to ask if they accepted Postal MO. Now, I will just use them out of kits. -
Forgot one. AMT 64 T-Bird Hardtop Philco AM Radio. No it does not work. Two wires are broken off circuit board, one from the battery clip, one from Speaker ,not sure where either goes, so......................................... Besides, Only paid 50 CENTs for it at a yard sale!! Got very lucky went back the next day and found the grill/front bumper!!!

I was wondering how long into this I would have to read to see that 57 Squire!! I have one. Not an Original, but a Compilation. Parts original, parts resin, parts Ranchero. got it in trade a few years ago, it needs a restor/rebuild, but................ He is gone, and not sure I want to tear it apart. (James Hippyfreak Bush) I too like those Electric Blue windows in the Elegance series. I have the "Street Sleeper" 65 GTO

I have a Few. Deluxe PMC 59 Country Sedan with interior, etc AMT 62 & 63 Ford Galaxie 500XL convertibles Both Rangoon Red, and a 63 Town Vic hard top in Ming green 63 & 64 Falcon Sprint Futura Convertibles! Heritage Burgandy 65 T-Bird convert I got for Christmas that year! Matching hardtop needing parts, and a 62 Hardtop in Cream/off white 50-52 Chevy Fleetline "Admiral Blue". No grill Jo-Han 62 Studebaker Lark convert. X-El 58 Olds & Cadillac 4dr sedans, and 2 56 Plymouth 4dr sedans AMT Indy Pace car 92 Viper, 95 Vette, & Stealth and Pickups, Dodge & Dually, & Chevy Stepside Lastly a 57 T-Bird Body, interior & windshield. Thought the 64 Galaxie in th lot was one, but being White under the Turq. paint leads e to believe it is a Craftsman kit from before the "Pro-Shop" issue I do like them, IF I can get them cheap. But then they need work

Those that do sell them do so in the Parts Department. I asked around here in 88 when MPC brought the Silverado back out. I was told there was No interest in them. If I wanted them, I had to buy a Master Case. 144 total of One item! No idea if I could have broken that to color options! The ONE dealer I saw any in was Cravelli Chevrolet in McKees Rocks Pa. He had the 50 Chevy Pickup on display right in the show room. It was also the Only dealer in a Shopping center that I have ever seen! Don't know if they still sell them. I would not be surprised to find them in larger Local hobby Shops now. Just Not chains like Michael's or Hobby Lobby.

Those were Gates Commando's Not A/T's!! I do not remember AMT having A/T's. I have both an original 79 "Wild Hoss" Bronco and an M-K re-issue. Gates! Same with the Blazers. I have a "Crew Chief & 2 M-K's And an Original 72 Bushwacker GMC Jimmy. All have Gates Commando's for the 4x4 suspension! Those Gates are hollow too. -

I would like to see the MPC F60 Speedway's (They were in the M-K 70 Bonneville and I though modified into the GT's in the Modern 71 Duster kit. and many mid 70's annuals) The G70's (They do need to fix the tooling, several recent sets I have are too thin, as one side is inset) I would also like to see the Old Original MPC Tall Skinny Power Cushion's! Yes I would like White-stripe sides, and maybe even Wide-wide whites of the Power-Cushions. I want the Firestone Champion's, but None of the slicks! I build Stock. -

I thought I read on here, or some where, that Revell was going to offer both the Engines, and Motorcycle parts packs, but got NO or Too Few orders/pre-orders for the motorcycles! MAybe they should think about doing them as a set ins a standard size kit box!?? I have a few of the ford engine, One of the Pontiac, and none of the others. I do not like seeing them offered cheap as 4-10 of the Same engine. Make up a box lot of the 4 different ones, and maybe......................... -
I like this one too! Adam-12 did go on Freeways once in a while. would have been something to see one of these Special units along side there City streets unit!!

New Moebius Ford Pick-ups 1971 Ranger XLT AND 1969 Custom SWB

I believe the color of these is due to material used in the CnC mill to Cut the parts! -
scale models of scale models
Edsel-Dan replied to knarf's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I have a few of those. Including the 57 Chevy & Ford that AMT had in those 2 kits as Trophy tops I have a few of the 32 Ford coupe too. Not sure I have seen the Pickup version. Remember the "Customizing" Series?? It included a Modern Vette in the Chrome Trophy & Stancion tree -
MAGNUM4342, I saw the link to that on the embedded clip. I did get a copy, too bad the resolution is only 480. Now if I could find the rest of the videos that were on that HBO Jukebox episode!!
-
Yea, uh oh!!!.. Congratulations on passing 1000. Surprised myself looking at mine. Almost 800. Last time I looked, I thought I was under 500!! I like that "Flash-Beagle clip. Wish I could fine the full copy!!

Another reason to hope for Round2 to re-issue these. They Might include all the different parts in One box! After all, they Did do that with the 60 Galaxie Starliner, & 62 Catalina SD didn't they?? And the Never released Custom 62 T-Bird version included in that re-issue!
