  1. The Last re-issued 78 Pace Car was Monogram's (Revell box) 1/24 kit. I have one. MPC also did that kit. In fact, MPC had 3 different box art kits for the 78 Vette. Annual, Pace Car, & Silver Anniversary. I have 2 each of the Silver & Pace Car. and had one of the Annuals molded in Yellow. I am not sure if I still have that yellow one.
  2. Yea. You mix it into a Clear paint carrier.
  3. Lets try something. http://www.round2models.com/images/models/mpc779/product.jpg The Picture plaques standing behind the Sub. The parts are the hinge plates for these
  4. One of the Annual CM mag's showed doing this with a 63. All the builder did was remove the floor of the 63's Tub interior, then modify it slightly to fit the 60's floor pan.
  5. Dupont first showed off their "Chrome-Illusion" Paint on Jeff Gordon's #24 at the "Winston" Allstar race a few yews ago. It changed colors showing 5 different colors depending on direction of light hitting it. There is a Pick-up here in town painted with it!!. Looks Gold, Blue, Purple, Red, Green, depending on angle of sight/Sun light on it Michael's Use to carry that "Pearl-X" powdered Paint mix, but I have not seen it in the past several times I have been there. I have not looked for it at the Larger Hobby Lobby yet.
  6. I have too many of those 2 piece tires. I replaced them on many builds. They are in the Red issue All Features 57 Bel Air I have in the 3 car 53, 55, 57 set. I used AMT Firestone Supreme's on one I built in 79. Sold it about 10-15 years later. I think I used Patra red on it.
  7. Does it have to be paired with the Kit Car to have those decals again?? But, We Are getting a Number of Petty re-issues lately, so I was wondering if the LN Race car hauler would be one of them too?? Whether separately or teamed with the Kit Car makes No difference to me!!
  8. I Might get one or 2 again myself. I wonder if the LN hauler will be re-issued with the Petty decals!!??? Be nice to build one painted actual Petty Blue instead of Testor's #8!
  9. Ganassi is DEI not Everingham. The is why they went "Chevy" Cars Number 42 & "1" And yes. RPMS is only Gillette/Everingham--Robert Yate Racing with Richard's name on it. Yates is why The Everingham team changed to "Ford" labels.
  10. We get the G70's in a few kits. Not white walled, but we have gotten them. The F-70's were in the Model King 70 Pontiac Bonneville convertible with Boat. Agin not printed whit the white walls, but we did get them. I was surprised about that though, I thought they had been altered into the similar size Polyglass tires in many mid-size cars since the mid 70's. I too would like to see them white walled again. I would also like to see MPC's original Power-Cushion's re-issued. How long before we get the Firestone Supreme's with Redlines on one side & Whites on the other?? Or even the Blue/Red or Blue/White option??
  11. Well, I told a lot who said that about the Old tool All working features Revell Tri-5 Chevy's, I will Take all you have if you don't like them!!!!! I built this "Woodstock" issue when New. And it is very Easy to fix the doors. Just remove the molded pin on the male hinge piece and make a new hinge pin with a straight pin. the cap of the pin on top will prevent the door from lifting off. (If you correctly glue/epoxy it to the male hinge part mounted to the body
  12. I thought the COT & The previous car Were Generic bodies branded by engine!!! They sure did NOT look like what they called them. At least the few I have seen this month Almost Look like what they claim they are. They Stopped being "Stock" cars Long ago!!!! I gave up on Francecar right after we lost Alan Kulwicki and France started all those design rules!!
  13. I finally got that Stock only Original 50 F-1. and have both the glue & SnapFast Original issues of the Chevy. I need to dig them, out!!! Yes, They are about the same vintage for tooling. I also prefer the separate box parts. Monogram/Revell's method of making the bed floor part of the cab floor & front fenders is interesting, but does block or at least make More work in converting the F-1 into longer boxes, or chassis configurations.
  14. If this is the one I think, The body is separate from the cowl because this kit could also build the Woody wagon. The Original issue had both the Sedan, & Wagon bodies in the box. The Woody was re-issued in the 70's as the "Woodstosck" kit molded in tan. I built that as a Teen(Early) will little trouble. I like the styeering and the Prototypically Corret Butterfly hinged hood in this kit versus AMT's one piece lift off piece. I used spare/extra Hood hinge pieces on my Fire Chief issue of AMT's 32 Vicky
  15. I believe they are the hinges for the clear panel sculptures of the Beatles in character from the movie. I believe the new Retro re-issue will have them again. At least the box art shows them as being included this time.
  16. I want one of those. The Supervisor drove one in the Pilot of Adam-12!!
  17. I have one of the M*A*S*H Chopper kits. Wish I could find the Swamp/Jeep set & the truck kit too! Did you know Aurora has planned on doing the Bat Copter??? Deanguy1 has offered the dealer sheet/pictures for it on that evil site. I too would love the Hughes in 1/24 scale. L.A. County Sheriff Please!!!! 240-Robert Air.
  18. Actually Revell Did do a Dually ford Pickup. It was a Snap kit and a Shortbox. I have the body from it
  19. Forget Originals, Look at the last 4 re-issues of the 72 Chevy and see Ridiculous Prices!!!! The Yellow/White Ertl First, the Blue & White, the Rides, & the Red 1:1 Shortbox box art kits ALL go over or start at $30.++!! I want more of these, but at the prices they demand, I won't be getting any!!
  20. Agreed, I would love to see that 60 Chevy Wagon back. And the 60 El Camino too!
  21. I logged in one day to fin d the change. Found the Fix button and returned to Old format. Got a Questionare asking why. I explained and they said thank you for your input. Got an email the other day saying that they were Forcing the change to all. I am looking at other locations to maybe transfer all my albums. Flickr seams most likely, though I do have an UploadingIt account. Use to have a webshots, but I believe they completely closed or sold.
  22. Work table?? What's that??? I ain't Got NO place to work right now!!!! HELP!!!!!!!
  23. I think those Skis, etc were in ALL of the Jo-Han Eldorado's I have only a couple of th e70, but several sets of the Skis. I have a few of the 71-76 Eldo's.
  24. AMT offered the 53 in both Glue and newer tooled SnapFast/Retro-Promo. I do not know about the Snap, but the Glue was said to have the trim running downhill from front to rear. or the rocker panels were lower at the front making it look that way The AMT 55 may be based off that 53 kit. Good Luck on this. The Monogram/Revell 1/24 53 does have parts to convert to a 54.
  25. I believe ebay member rdsxfan offers a resin Ford Shortbox that is Not from R+R. I am not sure if it fits the M-K issue/era ford pickup though. He offers the 62 in both long & short too
