  1. We aren't even seeing Re-issues now, so New.................. I know several would love to see them re-issue their old MIni-Lindy's kits. Too bad they have the Old IMC tooling now. Testor's would likely offer them They did before. I have the Touch-Tone Terror Dodge Pickup in IMC box with Very small Testor's name on it. That is one I know Many want again.
  2. I started reading this Back when you started. I lost track of it in Aug 2012 when my modem died!!. No 'Net til Thanksgiving week!!! I do like this, but wish it were an as new project & not a rust bucket! I have built a few of these vans, and cut the rear doors out of all of the, I don't know if they offer them again, but on my Blue Rescue van I used the Mini Hinges from Auto World (Round2 Now) when they were still in Scranton, Pa. The "L" shape of the pieces gives more gluing surface. Another Idea, would have been cutting out the area of the hinge and gluing in Strip Styrene in a thickness to match the size of the hinge piece but wider to cross over the opening more. Drill it for the pin, then file it to shape . Not something to do on a Finish paint though. A Better idea for that would be make Short Piano hinges out of Pie Tin. Cut pieces in a "Comb" shape and Round over the "Teeth". Insert the Hinge pin for correct diameter of rounding. I can take some pic's of a 48 Ford Woody that is still in progress. I started with the styrene hinges but they kept breaking. The Styrene version is working for my 40 Ford S-D Rescue/Ambulance project. Pic's I have in Photobucket only show the 40 & Chevy van with their doors open. I need to take a couple with them closed. Now I have the tin ones and they are holding better.
  3. Interesting that the 1962 tooled AMT Fairlane piece has that detail while the new Revell kit does not
  4. I like Driving games. NOT the gta series. Racing! Have a few on my PC including a few Sample/demos. Just wish I could get my 2 Need For Speed Texaco/Porche CD's to Work on this Dell!! Though Win95 CD's, they work on my other xp PC's!! I also have Star Wars & Classic Monopoly for PC!! I am not into roll-play games either. Just Driving!! Need to find a Cheap Steering Wheel control (PC Only) As for consoles. Sears version of the Atari 2600 & a Coleco-vision. Have not tryed them in a LONG time!!!!
  5. I do have Ollie's about 30 miles from my house. I got the Illinois & Generic for only $4.99!!!!! CHP was still $7.99. Haven't been back since Early Aug!!! The V bar I want was ONLY in the Original Ohio kit. It is NOT correct either. I have a Pic of OSP unit 1933 and it has a Whelan Edge Strobe bar Not the V bar. A friend from Ohio told me NO OSP car even had one. And Yes, It Should have had 2 Blue caps. I wish my CHP kit had the V bar in it.as Most of the CHP Crown's did! I have 4 of the kits, and had one of th ePArts-pack V lightbars, but traded that. I am using 2 Clear cap.s to paint/tint blue for the OSP build. Notice on the box, though you can BARELY see them, 2 of the caps on the right side ARE Blue not red!! I actually have an ebay search saved for the Lindberg Parts-pack V lightbar. but last time I found any (Seller had 10) his reply to my question about accepting Postal Money Orders was After he had sold All of them!!! There is one in my watch now for $4.50, but no reply to my question yet. I would buy all he had !!. I did look at the Chimneyville resin V bar, but all the rotators/reflectors are cast to the base and facing straight ahead. I might be interested. Let me know a price. But I know I would have to remove/replace those rotators/reflectors. That was one Very Nice detail in the original Lindberg lightbar!! I like that the caps for this bar are all clear in the Charger, but are smaller and there is No rotator/reflector for inside. I guess I could make them the Newest LED version!! I am betting that Lindberg Lost that tooling, notice that in the second series of that kit the Tail lights are Clear not red!! Heck, I would be happy if the Rotators/reflector were still on the chrome tree! But the Chrome tree is not even a complete tree anymore either, Just small sections of it!! Most of the parts are actually Loose, though bagged
  6. Don't see 4dr Convertibles that often!! I like this one. I watch all 1/32 scale kits listed on that auction site all the time. but this series goes so high!!
  7. I had several of these that I traded away. Lost my built W-M Checkerboard box Painted kit when it jumped under my feet as I walked past. Was Sublime/sassygrass green too!! Hope to eventually find another of it to replace the dead one. I used the tires from this kit on my 66 El Camno & wagon builds. Used OLD MPC G70's on the Charger. I did find that one interior panel was too tall to allow the body to fit the chassis correctly. Not sure now if it was the left or right one. Replaced the rear window with .01 clear evergreen to help get around that. Will check on the next one and shave it from the bottom to get a better fit (That is IF I can replace the the painted kit)
  8. If you have cable or Satellite watch Speed Late night. I have seen those Moto GP races, Aussie Super Car, and a few of the different Euro Touring car champion series. Brit, German to name 2. ALL are road course. They tend to run late into or after the American series seasons.
  9. 57peppershaker, I have 2 from the 57 Chevy. and yes I know they are showing their age. I had to fill a deep sink in the trunk of the one in my Ertl/Matchbox issue. (Molded Tan) I also have the 3 car Chevy kit. I am looking for the 57 Ford Trophy top though Thanks for the offer. Wonder how long before Round2 restores the old lost parts in this kit??
  10. Wish I could show mine, but til I get a better camera that WORKS in Darker indoor rooms, or get some one with one, I can't. I don't have enough Flood lights to get pictures that will let you see anything. niteowl7710, I wish I had HALF that many Lindberg OSP Crown Vic's. I need that "V" Vision/Vector lightbar for some projects. By the time I find them on evilbay, and can ask the seller if they accept Postal Money order, they have sold ALL they have!! The MX now in those kits is OK, but why didn't they offer the option?? Did they loose the tooling?? Yea, I know the mounting pins on the MX are closer together than on the V bar!! The V bar in the Charger is not as good. No rotators/reflectors inside like on the OSP Crown Vic version.
  11. Or different cars. 71 is the year that the pace car was selected LATE. Almost at the start of the event. (or that month/week before) I have read that they just took one off the lot/showroom at a local dealer. It happened to be Orange with the white & black interior No Dealer offered replicas as they were standard production cars. The Cady decal sheet has markings for several different engine options too. Likely because those at the track had different engines too due to the late time frame in choosing it
  12. Yea, Definitely want an Early/Before Race start Pace car. That is the one that coming to the Start forgot to slow down & hit the Press stand at the end of pit road. Thanks for the info, Bet the Hart's Parts would be cheaper than the full body from Time Machine. All I need are the front clip, Grill etc, Tail lights, and interior if different upholstery pattern. I think I will use the Twinscoop hood in the last re-issue, or even the one I filled from the Yankee Challenger issue!!
  13. AMT offered the Clear Tailer not too long ago, and what about the Daytona Transport. That Large Clear & Clear blue tint option for the top. Yea, I know, the trailer was made in Flat sections. I Might have bought one of these with the Clear body, but since I restrict my builds to 1/14-5 and smaller, I don't think I will get the new issue. I have my original I built new way back when I have a original Built of the Pearson Sportsman GTO too
  14. Wonder if the Trophy top is still in the kit. I though from looks at some it wasn't anymore. If it is, I may get another just for it!! Wish the matching part was still in the 57 Fairlane 500. I only have one of those!!
  15. I like that Fairmont too, though I drove one for a while and with its inline 6 it could not get out of its own way!!! Ever since that car, my mom Hates Red with a Passion. The Fairmont was red with 2 part white vinyl top. Dad bought it, mom did not like it. I told her to pick one she did, but said it was already bought. She hadn't signed anything yet, so could have changed the car!!! It replaced a 70 Impala!! Hope to be able to afford a stock kit when available. Might wait if a Wagon does come out. Love those Long Roof's! Why can't US car makers give us those now when Many European & Japanese brands still do??
  16. Need Plans/Measurements/Measured drawings to attempt that!!!!!!! I ask for those on Fire trucks all the time, and everyone says, 'I make that ion resin, I can't sell it to you if I let you have a copy of the plans!' Sadly, unless I win the lottery (Mega Millions or Powerball) I will Never be Able to Afford the resin!! Unemployment Stinks!!!!!
  17. Gotta say the same. NICE MoPar!! I have this kit started. Got to get back to her & Finish!!! I also have the Hardtop in pale yellow/cream. Should have bought both that KB had that day. Last kits the store had!!!!
  18. Most of the Styline parts were lost many years ago. Maybe Round2 will work their magic on this kit and return those parts to it
  19. email from round2 announcing it as available said Clear Body. Maybe they are doing this like the Manx Dune Buggy. That one is available in 3 colors.
  20. ebay Screwed me!! Won an auction for a pair of Built models 61 T-Bird Hardtop, & 72 Plymouth Road Runner Runner was molded in red & included photo-etch. One month after the win I sent a message asking if they had been shipped. "Wife" said Hubby had just returned/being released from the Hospital after a long stay and would take care of it soon. 3 weeks later I sent another message, this time getting No reply. Shortly after the selling account was closed. evilbay NEVER did anything for me and even closed the claim. Wish I had paid by Postal MO then instead of paybay I could have charged them with Federal Fraud/Theft. Not even misdemeanor theft their way!!! I Dumped paybay that day and ONLY pay with US Postal Money Order now This was 2-3 years ago, so evilbay would not even talk to me about it now I ask the seller before bidding, if they do not reply, or say no, I pass on their item. I will likely get one else where. and Maybe even cheaper!! I now have both the Styline hardtop & Full kit Convertible 61 T-Bird kits!!!! Convert even had an extra set of Indy Pace car decals!!!! Both are complete/restorable in box, etc!!! Neither was more than the "lost" pair!!! I also have 5+ Aurora 1/32 scale American LaFrance Pumper kits (All Red Original Issue IN Box) If I am suppose to get the Item, I do. That is the ONLY way to look at buying from the 'Bay!!!!!!!
  21. Like this. I too have the Old Airfix kit. I built it new back in the early 70's. Need to restore it. Wish that 1/24 scale kit was a Lot cheaper!!
  22. Give me a 67-72 standard 8ft bed and I will be happy!!!!
  23. Wish a kit or 2 of those were offered!!! Not even Resin offers that International!! I thought the 40's/50's Small buses were from Don Loomis.
  24. Like those. Not something you see here in the states!!
