I have finally have a Slot Car store and track close to my house. Logan Ave Slot Car Raceway in Belvedere IL. How do I get started in the hobby? Forums, magazines, scratch building and so forth? I have been surfing and found some on line stores. $395.00 for a motor !!! Any info would be greatly appreciated, Short story. 1999 I spent $1000.00 on Carrera tracks, cars and accessories . We hired Bekins in 2007 to move us. About 1 year I can not find my stuff. Stolen and I could not make a claim too late. Lesson learned anything of value gets put into my car. Thanks Mike 1017
