  1. Yeah, if I had the money, I have a 1953 Plymouth that could use a heart transplant!
  2. But it's a dry heat!
  3. Where did the concept that to win AMBR the car had to be "Traditional" come from? Now, I'm a great fan of "Traditional Rods and Customs" but this link https://www.flickr.com/photos/fredsredt/sets/72157623195547014/ takes you to an album of some of the past winners and a great many of them are far from "Traditional"
  4. It's an old car with red wheels! I have no idea ...
  5. That is, of course, your call. You cancelled the order, correct? You got a refund, correct? If both of those are true, let it go; the stress will kill you.
  6. Definitely an interesting vessel. Maybe the large tower in the middle is where they house the 'invisibility field generator' ala "The Philadelphia Experiment." THAT would be some cool stealth!
  7. Aw ... he's a cutie!
  8. Pretty sure it was a 59 Plymouth. I've got the build photos around here somewhere.
  9. 20 years? Man, think of the great commercials you've missed!
  10. 'Tis a pity we can't all be as close to perfect as thou art. Just sayin' ... first stones and all that.
  11. They are different. XS Tuning wheels and tires are just that, wheels and tires aimed at the tuner crowd. XMODS are 1/28 ish RC Cars. Used to be available thru Radio Shack (that's where I got mine, a 1967 Camaro).
  12. About the only (almost) useful part is the grill.
  13. Every swap I set up at I do a little 'social engineering' experiment. I'll put a kit out prominently (not buried in the boxes) with "Free To Good Home" on them. NASCAR kits are the only ones I regularly bring back home.
  14. That's what I was thinking, Casey, but mine is entombed somewhere in the storage locker.
  15. To build on what you've said, Bill, in my opinion there are no "minor vibrations" in high performance engines. Odd vibrations are an engine's way of telling you it is slowly (or not so slowly) killing itself. Now, the beauty is that in the model car world, none of these inconvenient realities matter. Our "Hot Rod Shops" have unlimited budget and the best talent that unlimited budget can buy. They can accomplish anything we can imagine.
  16. You need to sell them for 6 bucks a dozen with free shipping!
  17. Is there a reason you're reviving 8 year-old zombie threads? I mean, they're kinda interesting but they've been deceased for 8 years.
  18. Ah, but they relisted it just for you!
  19. So ... this seal walks into a club. . . . . . . . . . . . . Ouch! Made up, I assume, by my daughter for a 'Bad Joke Contest' in her 6th Grade English class.
  20. Yep! That's Dean's Rampside.
  21. Pat ... do you deal with teenagers on a regular basis. I ask because my sixteen year-old son used that exact phrase in a conversation with me just the other day.
  22. And yet we think it's a great idea to have them do all the manufacturing; to send them all the tooling and intellectual properties associated with.
  23. I am fond of spelling/grammar cops who, in the midst of their corrections, get spelling/grammar all wrong. 'Tis very amusing, I constantly fight the urge to make corrections; I don't edit unless I am paid.
  24. So ... you did have a polite, cordial conversation with the manager, yes? I certainly would have and I tend to go to the "$50 dinner-for-four" restaurants.
