  1. Patience, Grasshopper! You've already seen aliens; ask Mulder.
  2. I read it as '61 Model Year.
  3. ::Checking Calendar:: Yep ... New Moon on Tuesday!
  4. OK ... so I'm sorting through a box of tiny parts and I run across these. They look for all the world like "swamp coolers" but I can't think of any kit that had them. So, my questions ... If they ARE "swamp coolers", where did they come from? If they're NOT, what are they (and where did they come from)? Thanx!
  5. As best my brain recalls, of the kits you've pictured only the Lola and the Chaparral have been reissued post-IMC. Both were done in a series of "Historical" kits by Union. They may still have the tooling or the tooling could be parked in someone's driveway.
  6. The winner of this year's Klingon Kruiser award?
  7. Aw, man! And here I was gonna put those striped on every car I own including the 53 Plymouth!
  8. Yeah, my dad's half-brother lost his arm in a corn picker when he was 15. I'm not offended by jokes about these types of accidents but, understandably, I'm not laughing hysterically, either.
  9. Tulio, I'm not gonna quote your post; I find that "art" to be fairly offensive. I've got lots of questions but the one I'll ask is "Why?" Why did you post that to a HOBBY forum? Too calm for you so you think we need some politics to stir stuff up? That's precisely why 'politics' is not allowed here.
  10. I know there were some other issues; the glass, for one. I had loaned the glass from my mint Newport Convertible and waited with bated breath for the outcome then, one day, my kit glass came home. No explanation, no acknowledgement; it just came home.
  11. There are two examples listed right now, one finished and cheap: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Educational-Products-Inc-AMOEBA-model-kit-Painted-Assembled-/171778261834?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item27fec8434a And one mint and not so cheap: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Educational-Products-Inc-AMOEBA-model-kit-Mint-in-Sealed-Box-/361163034025?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5416fe8da9
  12. And Stay OFF my lawn!!
  13. I dunno ... they might take a first-born child but I'm still kind of attached to mine (and he's almost 17 =8-O ).
  14. It's what he does for fun in his down-time.
  15. The only Pro Modeler Charger I can quickly lay hand on is the Daytona and guess what? At the time it was done Revell was a division of Hallmark; the greeting card people. Still wanna bet no one said "Good 'nuf, box 'em up"?
  16. When I was 10 the only thing I had that wasn't a toy was my lawnmower, that's what I used to earn the money to buy toys; mostly, um, model cars.
  17. I'm puzzled ... I know we're not expecting perfection but when is "Good Enough" good enough? At what point can the kit manufacturers say "It's good enough" given that perfection is not attainable nor, indeed, expected?
  18. Nor Modelhaus, nor Replicas and Miniatures of Maryland ... but "The Caster Who Must Not Be Named" is represented by a single kit.
  19. Even if the tooling was, in effect, stolen?
  20. Here it is in 1985 at the Nostalgia Rod Run n Wentzville, MO
  21. Hit or miss ... like "Hardcastle and McCormick", "Streethawk" (remember that one? The kit came out after the show was cancelled) ... I'm sure there are more but my brain is old.
  22. I'm with ya, brother! Cases I got, gimee the truck!
  23. Since I'm gonna be wrong anyway (unless I cheat) I'll say it's a model.
