Sweet idea. Kinda reminds me of the Year one(?) ad's in hot rod where it showed one car but one half was a show car and the other half was pre-restoration.

One of the clubs I'm in has an e-mail newsletter with kit reviews in it. There is a pretty basic format that makes it look nice and clean. If we added pictures to the format I think we would be good to go, here is the format for those of you wondering. Model reviewed: Scale: Manufacturer: Kit number: Reviewer's name: Kit is reviewed only. Kit was built. (delete one of the statements) Kit is injection molded - resin - vinyl - other. (delete the materials not related to your kit) Color of Plastic Kit is Molded in: Kit Cost: (If Available) Rate the following with 1 as the least favorite and 10 as the best response. Highlight the number and then underlined it. 1. Subject matter - interest...........................1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 (not just to you in general) 2. Overall quality............................................1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 (plastic, clear parts, tires, etc.). 3. Amount of preparation work required.....1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 (flash, sink holes, molding marks, etc.) 4. Ease of assembly - if you built kit............1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 (part fit, assembly problems, etc.) 5. I just saw this on face book and had to check ans make sure it wasn't fake,sadly it isn't. He was on his way with a friend to a fundraising event for a charity and died less than a mile away from it.

WOW! The build is amazing and the story is excellent. Have you ever though of compiling all of your short stories in a book with pictures of your models?

Modeler Hall of Fame?

I think were on two entirely different trains of thought. I'm talking about the Museum, not the "Hall of fame". From what I've seen online the Hall of fame isn't the main attraction to the museum, but more of an exhibit per say. Say what you want about the HOF I just think the Museum should be a tad bit more updated. -

That's basically saying that the model industry has not evolved in the last ten years which is a huge understatement. I my opinion I think that if a museum is going to be there for the history of something it should try and be fairly up to date. For example Moebius released a kit of the Hudson Hornet, whether it will change the entirety or the model industry or not is up to debate but it still should be noted in a historic moment in the history of model car kit's. -

The model Museum is really cool but do they have any builders who got big from the last 10 years? All I remember from last time I looked was just guys from the 60's to the 90's. Nothing really noting our current builders. I hate to say it but the website is very archaic, I feel like I'm opening a scale auto enthusiast from 1992. -
It's not that bad Dave. A week after my little sister turned 12 she got a letter from an assisted living service asking here when she wanted to sign up. We read through the whole sales pitch and it was hilarious, they were very concerned about what she would do if she broke a hip in the shower or not being able to get anyone's attention when she fell.

I really hope they sharpen the rear roof/window area to make it look more 510ish. Other than that I love it. I just hope the production version doesn't look like an average Nissan.
