  1. i always prime if i paint anything!! especially when using lacquer or a 'hot' enamel as these paints WILL craze the plastic underneath if there's no primer barrier...and remember, paint prep is everything...the better the part is prepped, the better the paint turns out... good luck!! post pix!!
  2. still using that shrink ray eh?? lol you just amaze me....basicly an OOB build that would place in ANY contest with just the paint detail alone!!!
  3. yeah, $6.99 here to...BUT, i suggest using PlastiCote sandable primer...T235 grey, or they have black and red oxide to... so as not to craze the plastic from the Duplicolor...
  4. ^^^^and use it for the other side also, that way there're spaced the same in the 1/4...
  5. dunno, i'm going with model....don't like the 'thickness' of the body at the wheel openings...
  6. a lot of times, for me, the 'rubber band' 20-30 series tires just don't do it ....
  7. those are cool kits...i've got the '76 SanRemo version, it's painted, but.....
  8. looks nice, turbo's rule!!! i hate when that happens.... if your're like me, i look, looook, looooook, and loooooooooooook 'smore, really 'enjoy' the finished model... then take pics, DOH...how did miss THAT!!! lolo
  9. this Henry J has been an on/off kinda deal...it's yellow now and the hood slot is narrower... this is a resin body from Fred on the 'Edmunds mod' chassis w/ BigDonkey resin rear wheels/tires... i 'touched' this one this year to, didn't do a lot...lol anyway, narrowed the body 6 scale inches, building this as a 'what if HE grew up a couple states north'....hmmmm, oh, a white #3 on the sides/top.... and my most curret unfinished, Flintstone resin, 25/34[?] body...
  10. hmmmmm.... 24 hrs huh...
  11. my verrrry first model was of a 61 or 62 Valiant 4door, when they FIRST came out!! lol....got it on a friday, built at my Gma's house, Testors purple brush paint, and entered it in the HobbyShop contest on monday...paint was still a little 'tacky' lol nice project....gassers rule!!
  12. ok, did Mark give you his 'shrink ray'?? this is absolutely amazing... if i see any OIL leaking........
  13. ooooooohh...that's nice, gonna be sharp...
  14. good start, offset chassis, now bend up some sheet plastic for the body... and keep the pix coming....
  15. at MY age.........ummm....... nevermind.....
  16. ....what's behind me is not important..... hmmm, almost a year to finish...let me look thru the stash....
  17. i've actually SEEN his Vette funnycar to!! even touched it when he wasn't looking!!! lol hi G....
  18. i've gotten weird emails from PP also....i just forward it to spoof@paypal and 99 times out of a hundo, it's a 'phishing' scam...
  19. dunno, i think i like the 'build' better than the 'finish'.... just me...
  20. also, looks like the primer is a little 'hot'...went on kinda thick maybe?? try using many 'lite' coats of primer making sure the last coat is way dry... conversley, if you use hobby enamel to paint the car with, the lines will not re-appear...
  21. the KANG always gets all that SWAG.....i even asked once what he[Gregg] did with ALL that stuff, his reply..."it's good to be King" lolol
  22. i'm lucky to FINISH one much less document it!! lol
