  1. Art... I know it's early in the process, but any thoughts on color scheme?
  2. You got it, Bill!
  3. I hope you're feeling better soon, Carl. We're all pulling for you.
  4. Same here. In fact, when I saw "Storm Trooper" I figured it would be some sort of German WWII thing! Like Scott, I also have no interest whatsoever in anything Star Wars (have never seen any SW movie or ever will)... but I agree with Scott that is is a pretty cool model, with an imaginative paint scheme. Nicely done! (I would suggest, though, that you go in with a small pointed brush and some white enamel and clean up that white/black transition line on the rear fenders).
  5. Oh, those adorable chubby cheeks! But I have absolutely no idea who this is.
  6. I wasn't sure, because it actually sorta does look like him!
  7. Man, we lived in such a politically incorrect time. And I loved it! Remember candy cigarettes? They were sticks of hard sugar, and even came in a pack just like real cigarettes. Can you imagine anyone being allowed to sell candy cigarettes today?
  8. I remember those, too... yeah, they came in one of those packs of gum where the gum was like a small sheet of gum. I used to put those tattoos on all the time. Didn't you just wet your arm (or wherever), and hold the tattoo in place and press down a little for several seconds and voila! You were a cool dude! At least for a day... or until the tattoo washed off!
  9. Who is this?
  10. Who is this?
  11. Do a google search with name plus "high school." Like, Elizabeth Taylor high school...
  12. I looked it up. Factory Eliminator wheels were painted Argent, with stainless steel hubcaps and trim rings. All-chrome wheels were aftermarket only... so having them on the model isn't necessarily wrong. But a black wash would really help.
  13. Maybe they were also available in all chrome?
  14. Here's a good photo... http://www.rockymtnoldsclub.org/jan05feature.html
  15. My parents are both from Europe. Mom was German, dad from a part of the former Yugoslavia that bordered on Austria. Both of them grew up speaking German, and I was actually born in Austria. We came to the US when I was one month old, so I have absolutely no knowledge or memories of living anywhere but here. But here's the funny part: Neither of my parents knew a word of English when we came here, so you can imagine how tough it was for them to assimilate into American society and culture. It was easier for my dad, as he was exposed to English and Americans every day at his work. Mom was a stay-at-home mom; it took her a lot longer to "fit in" here. But the point is, when I learned to speak, it was German that I spoke, not English. I learned English by playing with my friends and being exposed to the language. Little kids can pick up a language much easier than adults can; I was fluent in English before I started grade school. And because I learned English so early in my life, I have absolutely no "foreign" accent whatsoever. Hearing me speak, you would never guess that I was a "foreigner." In fact, when I say something in German, I have a very noticeable American accent!
  16. Those two are the same person?!!! Time has not been kind to Jan Smithers.
  17. Now that would be a huge help.
  18. Yeah, Metallica is from LA. No problem, Carl. Nobody's perfect.
  19. You can paint any color embossing powder any color you want.
  20. You may be right, but I don't remember any cars included in my set.
  21. Well, then they're useless...
  22. There were a lot of variations on the Marx service station, but most of them (almost all?) came with those same accessories I posted. But I don't believe any cars were ever included. For that you were on your own (Matchbox, for instance).
  23. Could you see boobies with them?
  24. Probably because that is Sharon Stone!
