  1. I agree with Skip. As nice as this kit is, it's seriously lacking in certain areas, most noticeably all the stone guards, which are very unrealistic in the kit and pretty much have to be replaced to have anything even resembling a realistic model.
  2. I think one of the cool things about your work is that you're not limiting yourself to just one type of subject. Some of the big-name builders limit themselves to one particular subject, but not you. Old Bentleys, funny cars, 3-wheel show bikes, trucks, whatever!
  3. Nice chassis photos. You are the Alclad King!
  4. Wel, for one thing it's gone from no. 8 to no. 9. Number 9?... number 9?... number 9?...
  5. Can't really see what's going on there, the photo is so dark. Is it a crack in the windshield? If so, there's no way to fix it. All you can do is either get another windshield or make one out of clear acetate.
  6. Is that a Hot Wheels car?
  7. You posted photos from just about every conceivable angle except the bottom! Any chassis shots?
  8. I love that subtle flame effect.
  9. I think you should paint the hood flat black. Oops, I mean bonnet.
  10. Don't know about body colored wipers... Also... area around the headlights should be white... and the missing mirrors?
  11. Gregg worked the B&N deal, I don't know anything more than any of the rest of you do, which is that apparently the mag is being carried by some B&N stores but not by all of them. As far as which ones carry it or why they don't all carry it, that's something Gregg would have to answer.
  12. You might want to do a little detail painting to the scripts and emblems.
  13. So then you really can't be sure whether the wheels of your model should be painted or chromed? I say take the easy way out and leave them chrome. Nobody can prove it's wrong.
  14. You can't really consider these cars as "factory stock," though. How many of them were actually delivered "as is," with no options? Probably none. Were they ever built in quantity and shipped to dealers like "regular" cars are? Weren't they, in fact, only built to order?
  15. If you like the magazine but nobody near you carries it, then why not just subscribe? No digital mag available at this time.
  16. Beautiful paint work!
  17. Great tip. Old, broken electronics in general are a treasure trove of wiring and various little gadgets that can be used to detail models cars.

  19. What is this, official "Bring Back Dead Threads Day?"
  20. Very nice, smooth paint job.
  21. You win this month's "Resurrecting the Oldest Thread" award.
  22. Beautiful example of diecast modeling.
  23. Just one comment: It's a Valiant.
