I have 2 Pocher Rolls in the works... all the wheels are done for both cars. So that's not what's holding them up. Lack of time, mostly, is what the real problem has been. I don't mind doing the wire wheels, but it's just so tedious.

You have another option. The internet has dozens and dozens of places that sell models, the selection is far better than even the most well-stocked hobby shop could ever possibly have, they never close, and they deliver to your door. Why would anyone limit themselves to whatever the local shops decide to carry?

The problem with MV lenses is they are smooth. Headlights have that engraved pattern of lines. MV lenses don't look very realistic as headlight lenses, IMO.

I think it deserves some sort of enclosed plex display case. Check online, they're available in a lot of sizes.

Dumb to you... not so dumb to others. It's all nothing more than personal taste. I'm sure there are people out there who think that what you like is dumb. So it goes. We all have opinions, there's no right or wrong... just personal preferences. Exactly. Well said (and sarcasm noted!)

That looks great! And the years of dust and crud actually add to the model, gives it a very realistic sort of "used" look. And the tonneau cover looks very realistic. I think you did a great job with it.

There is no "answer" to this question, there's no "explanation" why some people like rat rods... just as there's no "explanation" as to why other guys like street rods... or customs... or lead sleds or lowriders or donks or those wacky Japanese bozozukos or whatever the heck they're called or whatever. You like what you like, no explanation is needed. It's like saying, "Ok, I like chocolate ice cream, can anyone explain how someone could possibly like vanilla ice cream?"

The easiest way to do it is just foil the back of the lenses.
