Great looking Stude Glen...... I assume you still have the BMF work to do on it. I'm currently working on a '56 Studebaker Golden Hawk, combining a promo body with the glass, interior, chassis & wheels from an AMT '53 Studebaker kit. Lots of trimming, sanding & tweaking involved to make it all fit.

I use either a Tamiya paint stand, or a coat hanger, depending on what fits best, or, if I'm painting more than one body I'll use both. I tape the body to the coat hanger to be safe.

That Plymouth looks really great Greg.

Bill Geary (Mr. Obsessive) had a suggestion to start a thread asking "What did you get in your LAST Modelhaus order..?" It seemed like a good idea to me, so I'll start this off... My last order with Modelhaus was as follows; 1 1950 Nash kit, 1 1957 Desoto kit, 1 1957 Lincoln kit, 1 1959 Oldsmobile kit, 1 1956 Plymouth interior (to use in a 1955 Plymouth promo). I placed the order about a year before it was finally shipped, so I had plenty of time to squirrel away the $$$ to pay for it. For a couple of years prior to that, I had the foresight to order some things that I knew that I would be needing to stock up for future projects, such as; 2 sets of 1959 Dodge chromed taillight bezels, 4 1959 Dodge interiors (several of which will be used in 1955, 1958 & 1959 Desoto promos), 4 sets of chromed exterior mirrors (round & square), 2 pkgs. of assorted interior mirrors (unchromed - will use Molotow on them), 1 1951 Ford conversion set, 1 1952 Chevy conversion set. Other Modelhaus kits that I've gotten over the years as my budget permitted were; 1950 Cadillac, 1956 Cadillac, 1956 Mercury, 1957 Dodge, 1958 Buick, 1958 Ford, 1958 Lincoln, 1958 Mercury, 1958 Oldsmobile. The only things I regret not ordering were the several Nash Metropolitan kits for the 1950's years, but finances just didn't allow it. It should be interesting to see what goodies were received by fellow modelers before Modelhaus shut their doors.

Thank you Bill and Carl for your kind comments. Bill, I'll give that thread suggestion some thought... thanks for the idea.

Thank you to everyone who posted their great comments, it is greatly appreciated. Al, how is the '58 Pontiac coming along..???

Thanks Bill. Yes, I finished a '56 Olds several years ago using a curbside Johan promo with a Modelhaus resin interior. I built it mildly customized with a slightly aggressive stance.

As I tried stating above, this is a 1956 Dodge, curbside, resin kit that I got from Modelhaus before they closed up shop. After 2 failed attempts at a tri-color paint job and 2 trips into the purple pond, settled on a 2 color, black & white paint job. The wire wheels are from one of the Moebius Chrysler kits. I made the antenna using a short length of fine wire, a short piece of stainless steel tubing and a small piece of round plastic rod for the base. Black embossing powder was used for the carpeting. I added a brake pedal, a piece of a pin for a turn signal lever, and visors, a mirror and a dome light to the interior headliner. The dash was detailed with BMF & Molotow and BMF for the door panel trim. Basic black & white colors for the overall interior. Now that this car is done, I only have one car left to finish for my 1956 car collection...... a Studebaker. Then between plastic kits, resin kits, promos and diecasts, I'll have every major car marque for 1956. Then it'll be on to complete the rest of the 1950's years. Thanks for looking in on this. Any and all comments are welcomed as usual.

Thank you for your kind comments Ray and Peter. It looks like my text and pictures got jumbled up somehow when I posted this. I'll try redoing the text.

Thanks Tom. No I didn't know that. I'd love to see it.

After long last (9 months) I finally finished this car. It is a curbside, resin kit of a 1956 Dodge that I got from Modelhaus before they closed up shop. I settled on a 2 color, black & white paint scheme after 2 failed attempts at a tri-color paint job. 2 trips into the purple pond and months of frustrating inactivity, it's finally done. The wire wheels are from one of the Moebius Chrysler kits, and the antenna was made from a short length of thin wire, a short piece of stainless steel tubing and a small piece of round plastic rod for the base. I used black embossing powder for the interior carpeting and added a brake pedal and a piece of a pin to the steering column for a turn signal lever. I also added visors, an interior mirror and a dome light to the interior headliner. The dashboard was detailed with BMF & Molotow chrome. Black & white colors for the interior with BMF on the door panel trim. I now have only one car left to finish for my 1956 car collection (Studebaker) and then between plastic kits, resin kits, promos and diecasts I'll have every major car marque for 1956. Then it's on to the rest of the 1950's years. Thanks for looking in on this. Any and all comments are welcome as always.

Thanks for your very kind words Logan. I've been back in this hobby since 1992 and have learned a lot from all of the very talented people on this Forum, and all of the great modeling friends that I've made over the past years.

Welcome to our plastic playground Logan. We all started out as newbies to this hobby and we've all learned a lot along the way. Take your time and eventually each model will get better as you learn new methods and techniques.
