Looking around the forum you may notice a few builders, myself included on a F-100 started in the '60's, that have found old forgotten half finished projects and with maybe some new found skills or ideas are finishing them. More than one has risen from nothing but spare parts. -
Like the hood scoops and the stance.

The finish looks pretty nice in the photos. Depending on how smooth the paint surface is, maybe even try some polishing with Tamiya polishing compound or some comparable product. Micro Fiber towel or a baby diaper, preferable empty, as an applicator and polishing.

What did you see on the road today?

A cry for attention? At least this is better than those with to many load speakers at full blast. you can always just look away. -
Sounds like you may also have a Chrysler product. Our last two Dodge Chargers don't even have a transmission dip stick. Bought a so called universal flexible dip stick that came with an instruction booklet that listed what the readings should be depending on the vehicle and which model transmission it was equipped with. I was surprised at the large number of both domestic and imported cars listed. How much money could these manufacturers really be saving by leaving out a dip stick? Rather than allowing someone spending a considerable amount of their earnings buying their product to check their own oil if they desire and instead you go to a dealership and have one of the lowest paid members of their service department do it. They can't even change the engine oil and filter with out dribbling oil all over the engine cover and not even try and wipe it off.

Where can someone buy one of these. We plant flowers and the Rabbits think it's their salad bar or something.

That will keep the rodent population in check.

Very realistic looking landscape and the story explains it all.

Ya that probably came out of the '60 Ford kit and the teeth I think would have been one of the custom options that was offered.

Had to smile when I recognized the decals on the trunk lid. Like the "mail slot" windows on the green car. The fins on the convertible may have been influenced by a '59 Cadillac. Used the liquid aluminum to join the duel fenders on a trailer kit into a single unit. That trailer was heavy enough to be used as a club.

Beautiful paint finish and like the color. Like the clean well detailed engine compartment.

Beautiful paint finish and color. The '69 RR hood stripes just look right. Great wheel and tire setup.
-
Great looking build. I like how those old AMT '32 Ford parts could be mixed and matched. The color combination and finish look clean and smooth. Perfect stance and the wide whites look good on this.

Remember building one of these many years ago, funny I don't think it looked this good. Like the center steering and the chrome Moon Discs.

I think I remember seeing pictures of the Toronado you mention. -
Hard enough to do that body work in plastic let alone metal in this scale. like the paint color.

What sort of Nurfs are you thinking for the front?

three on the tree shifting
espo replied to sidcharles's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Did much the same thing only with a '57 Ford Custom, the base model with a back seat, 312 and 3 speed with the O/D. The Hurst Shifter even came with a decal that I put on the ash tray cover "Shift as hard as you want but don't break your arm". Drove it like I stole it and never had to even readjust the shift linkage. -
Sounds like you're going about this the right way. May I suggest another step to think about. Take a look on MAXL.Com for a description of the product and application to see if you think it may work for you. I have always prided myself on keeping up the appearance as well as maintenance of our vehicles. Last year I went over both of our cars and the difference is nothing short of amazing and the cars stay cleaner longer as well. I can now spot cars on the road that have had this or a similar application done. I got a 20 oz. spray bottle off of Amazon Prime. The application process is little more than spray and wipe.

I always check with and reread the owners manuals in all of our vehicles for suggested maintains. I'm not a beliver in 100k transmission fluid changes either.

Great looking weathering and the unusual subject.
