  1. I don't experience any technical problems on this site or with PhotoBucket. The PhotoBucket updates work fine with either my IE or on Mozilla. Many thousand pics in PhotoBucket on a Free account and it works quick and smooth as glass.
  2. " Count Dracula Divco Cruizer " Here's the latest in my Sci-Fi themed Jada Divco Cruizers. Traditional Dracula colors of Red, White, and Black. The casting is stripped with KleanStrip AirCraft Remover and then all casting imperfections are filed and sanded. Windows and wheel wells are filed clean and then sanded smooth. Primered and then shot Shimrin White. Tamiya Masking Tape is used to create the intricate Tri-toned color combination of Shimrin White, Black and Euro Red. Cleared with HOK Urethane Enamel and a heavy dose of Pink/Gold Pearl Powder. This Clear overlay with Pink/Gold Pearl additive changes all the colors and lights up in the sunlight. All Products Used Are Exclusively House Of Kolor, Of Course!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The small existing upper headlights are drilled out for RhineStone inlay in addition to larger holes drilled into the fenders for 5mm RhineStones. Decals are printed on Clear InkJet Decal Paper from Papilio.com Oval TailLight Decals with double beveled trim are created from scratch especially for this Custom. Front and Rear Windshield Trim is hand painted.
  3. You bet Dr., that's how it's done Here's a pic tutorial in Cadillac Pat Style I wrote for a Model Car Mag a long time back. [searchInKey]=&search_app_filters[forums][sortKey]=date&st=400]http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?app=core&module=search&do=user_activity&mid=9017&search_app=forums&userMode=content&sid=068b6ab85d88df2acd0af4a0deb776f8&search_app_filters[forums][searchInKey]=&search_app_filters[forums][sortKey]=date&st=400 Those aerosol Model paints have long shelf lives so you can jus remove what you need from the aerosol can or remove it all. I've got to learn how to start doing Videos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. Glad you like them AZ, More to come!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. Thanks JB, I'll add more pics when she is assembled.
  6. Have you checked to make sure they included the Pocket Valve? CadillacPat
  7. Several Bike Builders were on the final short list to be selected for the Series. Artistic and Mechanical abilities were never a prerequisite for being chosen for the show. The Tuttle family was picked for its maniacal behavior that the producers knew would draw viewers to the screen like moths. Obviously, just from the responses here, IT WORKED. People just can't help stopping to view a train wreck or other carnage, even though they will say they disapprove of it. Our nation is a culture of nonsense and we are just beginning to see how terrible television is going to become. Where are the shows of kids who actually attend school, make good grades and offer promise for the future? Where are the shows of loving families helping one another and their neighbors? Where are the shows rewarding people for doing good things instead of rewarding them for bad behavior? This type programming does not exist because you can't sell Margarine, Tennis Shoes and Beer with that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are being bombarded and inundated 24hrs a day with useless imagery and rhetoric designed to make us numb and unresponsive so we will allow anything to control our thoughts and actions. If we can't think, then we won't complain. Duck Dynasty is the only wholesome reality show on TV and it completely overcomes the attempts of left wing Hollywood to portray Southerners as Dumb White Trash. These are the people who will be around after the Big One, raising and teaching their kids and neighbors how to survive. CadillacPat
  8. Ace, I bought 5 of them. I'm using 4 for jack stands under a '65 MGB body, and the fifth I made an aquarium out of. CadillacPat
  9. I don't worry about the Lighbulbs being discontinued. I plan to just print them out on my new 3D Printer, LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CadillacPat
  10. Regardless of the scale of the design, the thickness of the medium might be an issue at scale sizes like 1/24 or smaller. Clearcoating could require extra layers of Clear. CadillacPat
  11. Yes Cobraman, you can use a Dimmer Switch to get your Dremel to rotate at speeds below it's lowest setting. CadillacPat
  12. Like Tonto said,"What do you mean WE Paleface?? CadillacPat
  13. "I'm going to say this again, I did not have sexual relations with that LightBulb, Ms. LewLightBulb, I never told anybody to lie, not a single time never. These allegations are false and I need to go back to work for the American people." Elvis
  14. Nice Decals Mark, I remember the little Lotus Espirit in the 60's was about that shade of Green. CadillacPat
  15. Thanks Guys, Yeah AZ you're right, I think the Hudson was that big bloated barge, those fins I think designate the Henry. A great little HW casting in itself. CadillacPat
  16. "Rea-a-a-al-l-y Big Sho-o-o-oe" in your best Ed Sullivan!!!!!!!!!!!!! Here's something back from 1999, a 1950's ShoeBox Done with a Paasche H Gun and cheap Enamels from the WalMart Aerosol aisle. This was my first attempt at Body Mods and Stretches. This is 4 HW ShoeBoxes (1950 Ford) and a HW Jaded (Hudson Hornet). I had never done any Body Mods so I just jumped right in. I purchased a Jewelers Saw, some JB Qwik and QuikSteel, and some thin Brass Plate. Custom Jada Wire Wheels, Hood scoop removed and hole filled in hood, Nose is extended, Armature wire flares the front 4 wheelwells, Rear fender tips extended, Wing removed from Jaded rear end and body filled, Bases were fit together to make a stretched chassis, 3/4" in the middle of the car is Brass Plate and QuikSteel, Joints filled with Milliput Putty White, Airbrushed with cheap WalMart Aerosol and Cleared with Painter's Place Clear, I flew to a Convention with this wrapped in a few Baggies. The heat in the Airplane Baggage softened the Clear Enamel which took on all the wrinkles of the Baggies. Left out in the sun for a couple of hours everything smoothed right out. I went straight to using House Of Kolor and their durable Urethane Enamel ClearCoat. CadillacPat
  17. You're using 3 steps of Primer, Why???????? What is the final grade of sandpaper that you used to get what you say is a "smooth as can be body"?? Proper Body Prep allows you to use less paint, paint should not be used to make up for Body Prep. CadillacPat
  18. Ace you just have to try it to see how it affects other kinds of plastic. Rit Dye will affect some colors of paint and it will also set in on ClearCoat. I use it to tint Clear Plastic Windows a nice transparent Blue and sometimes Green. The more you repeat the "Dip and Rinse" procedure I mentioned, the deeper the tint becomes. CadillacPat
  19. Windows can easily and cleanly be tinted with Rit Dye. Make your mixture with warm water and repeatedly dip and rise the window pieces. The cold water rinse cools down the plastic and makes it more receptive to the warm dye. Just repeat over and over until you get the desired depth of color tint. The liquid Rit Dye is better and stgronger than the powdered packets. Don't make the mixture too HOT. CadillacPat CadillacPat
  20. I see all of Model Manufacturing collapsing and these machines taking over, tomorrow morning. Every 5 year old kid will be spitting out perfect Model Kits in just minutes with these. These will change Model Building forever, tomorrow about 6:30 a.m. Don't hold your breath. CadillacPat
  21. Here's a shot of 4 HotWheels Hummers precisely cut into interlocking segments using a Jewelers Saw. I have and have used CutOff Wheels and Carbide Cuters when I first began Body mods on Zamac but they are so messy. The precision of a Jewelers Saw allows me to accurately cut down the center of the door lines so modified castings fit together like pieces of a puzzle. Only minute amounts of Milliput Putty were needed to seal the seams. And for very small precision cuts like this, Just use your Rotary Tool with a 1/16" bit to make your starter hole and you are on your way. CadillacPat
  22. I've modified a few 1/64 scale Hummers and a Jewelers Saw is the best and easiest thing to cut with. CadillacPat
  23. It looks like any of the Paint Pens or Gel Pens from craft stores. I use the Unibal Silver to do trim on front and rear windshields. CadillacPat
  24. Here's some of the Before pics, And if you look close here you can see the casting on the right actually has two separate holes cut in the hood for the BoneShaker stacks and the casting on the left is one single opening divided by some brass rod. A Jewelers Saw makes this a cinch. I like to work a few up so they're ready to go when I need them, SnowWhite Pearl over Shimrin White base, ready for Graphics CadillacPat
