  1. Really , really , really nicely done ! I second what Bill said about this being one of the best I've seen !
  2. Beautifully done Al ! Gotta love a Fordor !
  3. Best I've ever seen ! Congratulations on a really great build .
  4. Very nice looking Camaro , and it's red too ! For some reason I usually skip the On The Workbench section so I'm glad you posted it here !
  5. A couple of cone shaped washers from the faucet repair section at the hardware store hold tires perfectly for sanding . A bolt with the head cut off is chucked in a variable speed drill and held in a vise . It works great !
  6. He never hesitates to lend a hand . . . good people .
  7. You nailed it , the window frames and roof line look spot on ! Love that well maintained six too ! Great detailing .
  8. I remember that one David . . . very cool !
  9. Complete rules and info at : http://car-toons.proboards.com/board/18/contest-info
  10. I was there early on Saturday and by noon I was in my car headed home , mainly because it tends to get hot in the afternoon ! I think you're right , didn't seem to be as many cars as last year but there were still a few very nice ones .
  11. Thank you everyone for the comments , I appreciate it very much !

    Maverick

Cool looking Maverick , love the paint and those wheels and tires are perfect on it !
  13. NICE ! Great job on this one Brett , nice enough to be the box art !
  14. I'm a little biased since I've owned a few of these , but the '59 and '60 Chevy dash is one of the best reasons to drive one !
  15. Looks good Ray ! I've always wondered what the Minicraft / Academy Cobra body looked like . . . not too bad . But why can't somebody do a decent windshield frame for a Cobra ! Even tho' it has a small block in it the body is still a 427 S/C .
  16. Thanks David ! Your welcome , looking forward to seeing yours when it's finished !
  17. Never would have thought of using a cookie tray , that's great !
  18. Those Monogram kits build into pretty impressive looking models , just like the real cars . You've done a fine job with this one , very nice !

    1949 Mercury

Looks good , nice work with the flame mask . I have to agree about the antenna , it looks way out of scale .
  20. All I could do is whistle when I saw the first picture . . . there are no words to describe it !
  21. Thanks much guys ! If anyone is missing parts to build a Little T , look for a Revell Boomer T-Bucket ( the one with the trailer ) . It has the correct parts minus the engine , wheels and tires . Thanks Skip ! It was very hard to resist modifying it , but I'm really glad I didn't . If they ever re-issue the Little T , I bet it would be a big seller ! I also remember polishing parts with toothpaste way back when . It was a tip I saw in an issue of Car Model .
  22. That's the prettiest police cruiser I've ever seen , great work !
  23. Looks pretty good to me Bill , even tho' it's stuck on the ceiling ! Seriously . . . if you have a setting that automatically rotates your photos they may look okay to you , but probably get posted in their original orientation .
  24. Thanks very much everybody ! Being an original 60's era kit I wanted to skip all of the wiring and plumbing that I normally add to my builds and I think this one looks just right without it . I coated the old decals with some Decal Bonder and they went okay . The only issue was that they had to soak for about 5 minutes before they would release from the paper ! And no , I don't have a Big T to display it with . No place to put it if I did !
  25. Really nice Steve ! For some reason I always thought the '59 and '60 convertibles looked better with the top up !
