I looked at some photos and it's hard to tell what gold is correct . Some look rather subdued and others are very bright gold ! I would stay away from MM 1744 Gold as the metallic in it looks more black than it should . MM 2722 Champagne Gold looks like a match to the subdued color in some of the photos . And if you want a nice bright gold try Valspar 66009 Brilliant Gold , it's really nice !

Photos will help . Do you want to restore them to original or do a custom paint and maybe swap the wheels and tires ?

Looks good to me , and the color looks good too ! Great attention to detail. And I agree with you about the front wheels , it makes a BIG difference in the look !

The first pic looked pretty cool , the second pic convinced me ! This is one very sharp looking old Gasser ! The shattered side glass is a nice touch .
