  1. I just read thru the entire post and you are doing excellent work ! Great job cutting out the door , I don't have the patience to do it that clean . This should be a beauty when you are finished !
  2. The resin Santa is made by Jimmy Flintstone . I got him and a couple of lady helpers from Black Forest Hobby . The ski's are from the MPC Rupp Snowmobile , also using the the front axle and all the steering goodies . I wish I had some of those Trophy Cars , I'll have to look around for them . I'm still thinking that the main body is too bulky , so I'll probably section it so it looks lower and sleeker . Any other suggestions are welcome since I'm kind of designing this on the go ! Thanks . BOB .
  3. It had to be narrowed a bit to fit the frame better . New drive train mocked up . Blown big block Chevy with a 12 bolt rear end . Front suspension fitted . And the future owner looks pleased !
  4. I hate to jump the gun on Christmas but since it takes me a couple of months to finish a build I might have waited too late to start this one . I've had this idea for a while . I always thought that Rommel's Rod would be a good starting point but that it just looked way too big . So the first thing was to reduce the overall appearance .

    Barney's Rat

I saw this early this morning , or late last night , and just took a quick look . Now after looking closer I really like it alot ! That's the way it should have been built in the first place !
  6. Very nice ! Your paint looks beautiful and the engine detailing is top notch .
  7. Beautiful work on all of them ! Don't worry about saving space , we like BIG pictures !
  8. Cool looking paint ! All that masking sure paid off with a great looking paint job . I love wagons and will be looking for yours next weekend !
  9. Those promos can be upgraded into very nice looking models and you've done just that ! Excellent job on the taillights , they look great ! Overall a really nice job .
  10. It's like a flower that only blooms for one season then dies , never to be seen again .
  11. Turned out great , '66 Novas make good looking short track cars ! Sorry about your hospital visit , glad you are feeling better .
  12. Thanks guys ! This thing is small , only 4 1/2 inches long . The body , frame , and grille are from the kit , everything else is from my parts box . It's chopped and channeled and primered . The plumbing and wiring is all different sizes of solder painted with acrylics . I scratch built the headers and they don't fit the engine very good but who cares ! About a week of just trying different stuff and not really worrying about it being correct , it reminded me that this is a hobby and it is suppossed to be fun ! BOB .
  13. This should be good ! I'll be watching too .
  14. Here's a few more . Now back to work . Thanks for looking !
  15. I needed a break from other projects so I pulled this one out . . . . . . and I built this ! Just for fun !

    Cobras

Thanks for the link Brian . I check the Exoto site from time to time and honestly have never seen ( or noticed ) any priced that low .
  18. I've done it a couple of times , It really helps to do something simple instead of spending 2 or 3 months on a build . Right now I'm doing a 1/32 kit with about ten parts to it and just playing around doing different stuff to it ! It's pretty relaxing and I'm getting the itch to start another long project .
