  1. Saw this on another forum but not any info . Does anyone know about these ?
  2. Beautiful model ! It looks better without the top !
  3. A few more . Thanks for looking !
  4. This one is a little different and probably won't appeal to everyone . It's a resin body from Modelhaus modified to accept the windshield and interior from a '67 Corvette . The wheel openings were enlarged , the side molding is half round styrene rod , and the spare tire cover is a modified piece from a '59 Chevy . The Corvette chassis was shortened and the suspension was narrowed . The stock 427 motor and tranny fit like a glove ! The paint is MM Nassau Blue and Tamiya Classic White .
  5. Fantastic ! No one would ever guess what it is !
  6. Thanks for the encouragement guys ! When I started I wasn't too sure if it would work , but I'm pretty pleased so far . I have a couple more ideas to try then I can start the finishing and figure out the paint scheme . BOB .
  7. WOW ! Great paint ! Don't move this to Under Glass , it sounds like you aren't finished yet !
  8. Very cool looking Richard ! I like the before and after , you do excellent work . And WELCOME to the forum !
  9. WOW ! That's gorgeous ! It looks spot on too .
  10. Cool looking paint ! That snap kit has a lot of possibilities .
  11. I read about Norm's passing this morning on another forum . . . very sad . He will be missed .
  12. The last time I drove for an hour to Hobby Lobby the kits were priced from $25.99 to $ 29.99 and the only paint they had were MM and One Coat Laquers . Not worth the trip even with a coupon ! My LHS has a much better selection of kits priced from $21.95 to $25.95 and he has every brand of paint , even Metalizers ! Oh yeah , he's only a 10 minute drive from my house !
  13. I think I'm getting close to the final look . Maybe the side wings can be narrowed a bit and continued back to meet the running boards . What do you think ?
  14. This was always one of my favorite Ford's ( '63 Fairlane is #1 ) and yours is no exception ! Great color and wheel choice , it looks perfect !
  15. Pretty cool paint , the flames are awesome ! Nice build Doc !
  16. Thanks guys . I thought about putting the rad in back but I like the idea of it laying flat in the front . I want to put some kind of aerodynamic cover on the front so that will work out great . Reindeer antlers are a possibility if I can find some the right size !

    WW2 Hot Rods

That's a pretty cool idea ! I might just do that if you don't mind . By the way . . . really great artwork , can you post more ?
  18. I've lowered the body over the rails another 1/8 " and moved the fenders up . Cut the door openings , made a firewall and small running boards . I found a rear seat that fits pretty nice but am still looking for the front seat . Also , I can't find a radiator that works . . . all the ones I've tried ruin the look of the sleigh . Maybe it can fly without one !
  19. Beautiful ! Great looking paint and the colors are really sharp , especially the interior .
  20. Those wheels are cool !

    Cobras

I haven't seen one for sale in a while but I'm sure they are getting expensive ! I think the Exoto $ Value is probably a bit high .
  22. Very cool ! The engine and chassis pic are great . Sure wish I could afford some of those Airfix bodies .
  23. I've never seen this kit built before , it looks great ! Job well done on a rare kit .
  24. This kit has so many possibilities there are never two built alike . Very nicely done ! Love that engine !
  25. Beautiful build ! Thank you for not building another General Lee .
