  1. I spent some time on Sunday installing the plug wires . It really makes a big difference ! So , here are some photos of the finished engine .
  2. Wow ! Great job ! Nice little tutorial on masking . I think I'll try it . Thanks !
  3. Nice El Camino Adam . Sharp color ! How about doin' some of us a favor and enlarging your type . I have new glasses and can barely read it !
  4. You're moving right along ! I tend to drag my builds out over a long period . Don't know why . I like the distributor . Where did you get it ?
  5. A '59 Cadillac Nomad sounds cool ! Interiors are always tough on these builds . I did a '67 Nova with a Nomad roof on it and dark tinted windows . The rear of the interior was not visible so I didn't do a lot with it . In this one it will be seen so I've built a floor and side panels with sheet styrene and plan on flocking the whole thing . Plus an extra bench seat placed in back . How about some pics of what you have so far ? Thanks everybody for the comments . And thanks Jantrix for the info . BOB.
  6. I managed to get some work done this week . The body is primed and almost ready to paint . The chassis is started . And the engine is almost finished . Here's the chassis painted and fuel lines installed . Suspension parts are almost finished . Finally , the engine is getting close . Distributor is installed , but the cap and wires are in the mail from MAD . I added fuel lines and filters . Throttle linkage and cable . PCV valve and breather . Pwr steering pump , oil filter , and battery cables . Also the brackets for the alternator and pwr. steering pump . And the dip stick ! The weather has been pretty nice so I need to get some yard work done this weekend . Hopefully I can start painting in the next few days . Thanks for looking . BOB.
  7. The average kit measures 10 " x 7" x 4" and weighs 1 pound . USPS from Arizona to New York for 6 bucks ? Please explain how .
  8. If you can ship 2 kits in one package to me ( in Florida ) for less than $13.00 , PLEASE tell me how ! ! I regularly use USPS Parcel Post and it costs more than $8.00 to ship 1 kit to Georgia , $11.00 to New York . UPS is even more expensive . USPS Priotity Mail can be a better deal , but only if it is going to the west coast . And then it has to fit in there box !
  9. Wow , that is really nice ! I have one stashed too . Never built it because , well , it was just a Prowler . I think I'll dig it out and take another look .
  10. Looks good . Now I have to fix mine . . . it's upside down ! I think I have fewer grey cells than you do !
  11. You are correct if it had a stock brake system . This one uses two Tilton 5/8" master cylinders mounted above the pedals . A single line goes from one cylinder forward to a tee . Another line goes from the other cylinder , thru the tunnel , to a tee in the rear . You are correct about running the brake line under the steering box . . . That mechanic is no longer employed here ! That said , Thanks for the info on a stock setup . I've never seen one before and was just winging it on this build . I'll be sure to do it correctly on my next one . BOB.
  12. Pat , I enlarged one of my photos to show the steering box . I hope this helps . BOB.
  13. That's a nice looking color comnination ! Should look great when finished . Did you get the suggestion on the front suspension and steering box ? He's right . There aren't any good pictures anywhere that show this , but once you move it you will see how it goes . Keep up the good work ! BOB.
  14. This is my son's current ride . It's a 2011 Peterbuilt 387 . He's been OTR for 10 years and and a Contractor for 4 years . This Pete is really beautiful , and I love it when he's here . I get a close up look inside and out !
  15. Hey Pat ! So we meet again . We built a car at work a few years ago that was almost that same color . We ended up taking the black interior out and replacing it with beige leather . I'll have to dig for it but I know I have a photo some where . I'll post it as soon as I find it . BOB.
  16. Very creative build on the chassis . Beautiful paint too !
  17. WOW ! ! Maybe the nicest I've ever seen ! I gotta have a set of those tires . Where are they from ?
  18. I'm missing the front bumper ( AMT 1957 Chrysler 300 ) . Do you have one ?
  19. Great looking Nova ! The big Pontiac is a good choice for shredding those tires ! Where did you get it ?
  20. That's an amazing collection ! Here's a couple of pictures of where I worked the last 20 years .
  21. One more reason to live in Florida .
  22. It would make a cool looking hearse ! How 'bout it ? I got a little done last night . Fitting the interior . Bench seats and plenty of room for haulin' parts in back .
  23. Steve , I am sorry I skipped over this one and didn't stop to look ! Your seat looks great ! And the anodized effect is really sharp . I'm taking notes on that one . This is going to be a show peice when you're done ! I almost bought this kit a few months ago , now I wish I had .
