I built a lot of models in my younger days. They mostly were destroyed with firecrackers and M80's . -

David , the frame was not broken but bent so out of shape it could not be saved. I heard this is a common problem with this kit. I removed it and cut the glass down to make it look like a sporty type windscreen.

I finished that T Bird a couple months ago. Windshield frame bent too bad to repair. Kit is pretty good but the doors don't work too well but that could be my fault.

Only issue I had was when I tried to mount the body on the chassis. It was a bit of a fight.

I started with the Grumpy kit but did not want to do the Grumpy car . I added a Connkur pre wired distributor , coil, and radiator hose . Paint is Tamiya TS 23 light blue and Tamiya TS 89 Pearl Blue . I didn’t like the chrome wheels but was out of dull coat so I sprayed the with Testors Black Chrome . Not the look I was going for but I don’t hate it , after market and parts box decals .
