    Using the Grumpy kit but not building it as the Grumpy car . Used Testors black chrome to change the look of the wheels . Also using a pre wired distributor . Maybe get some paint on it tomorrow . Thinking blue ???

    Two Hot Wheels and two Johnny Lightning Cobras . Just a quick EZ thing to play around with while paint to dry on a larger project . Repainted, wheel change and paint detailed .

    I noticed you have good luck with polishing the kits plastic. I do have to try that at some point.

    True, I have that one also but that one is an Ertl and the instructions with this have the Matchbox logo so it has to be that one.

    I bought another AMT original Cobra kit on the bay . I was suspicious because the kit was molded in green . I bought it knowing I never saw an original molded in any color other than white . The box looked very good and it was cheap . As I suspected it was the newer Matchbox kit which was molded in green put into an original box . Not sure if seller knew or not . At any rate I got another Cobra kit and a good condition box at a good price . Not upset .

    I am very interested in this kit. I do realize that it is a very large investment. I emailed them to inquire about buying the kit complete at one time. They responded that they do not yet have complete kits and are getting ready to ship out pack 7. Silly perhaps but i am reluctant to do the subscription deal as if something were to happen where the parts stopped coming I would be stuck with a expensive partial built model. The man assured me that the kit would be completed but,,,,,, things to happen. For the time being I will just enjoy watching this on come together.

    I have that Mustang kit and the tires are in great shape . I was wondering if there was anything I could/should do to keep them good .

    For me, final assembly and mating the body to the chassis. installing windows as well sometimes.
