Once the clear cures, I may go over it with some Scratch-X to try to bring out the shine better.....All that's left is to paint the interior, vinyl top, and do some foil work....... Then comes final assembly! -

I found a new band, called The Sheepdogs...... They have a song called "Sharp Sound" that's pretty good. -

Here's the vinyl top trimmed out..... First time doing this. Kinda glue-bombed it a little. Almost ready for some color coats! Thanks for checking it out.............. -
If you're a steak guy, you need to go to Food Lion and pick up some Ribeyes marinated in Montreal season. They come in a pack of two, and there's no blood in them, it's all marinade, so there's no need to over cook them. I cut out pork pretty much completely, and my blood pressure reflects that..........

Still working on this one! I need some help, tho..... The interior paint just will not cover the orange, so I've put a wanted post in the proper forum for the parts I need in either gray or white. Will have some more progress on this one soon. -
Hey, Alix..... I didn't chop the top, this kit has a chopped top already. I just put weld seams where it would have been put back together on the 1:1 (at least I HOPE they are where they should be!)

1966 Porsche 906 in 1/24?
JollySipper replied to JollySipper's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Hey, Guys...... I'm still curious about the 1/16 906 from Entex/Bandai........ It says on the box that it's full detail, I'm just wondering if anyone has seen one in person? or maybe seen one online somewhere with a review of the kit? This would be an excellent gift to get myself for my upcoming birthday, I think.............. -
Finishing spray enamel exteriors
JollySipper replied to timomomomo's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Lacquer paint has all these benefits, but it dries a lot faster than enamels, which means less chance of getting dust in your finish and you can do your polishing sooner. I've been using DupliColor since I discovered it and haven't looked back. It needs a gloss top coat, but I liken it to using shampoo and conditioner separate instead of the 2-n-1....... Each part does it's job better if used separate..... -
This is what I've been working on while I wait for paint to finish my mild custom. Not gonna call it a Gasser, but maybe gasser inspired......... First time making welds where the top would be cut, I think they turned out okay.......... Guidance, inspiration, and comments are more than welcome......

Some Cool Thunderbird Drawings
JollySipper replied to JollySipper's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I agree about the hood bulge, it should end closer to the cowl instead of drooping down onto the front end...... I do like the headlight treatment, it gives the car a "forward moving" look....... The pearl white with the over- sized Kelsey Hayes wire wheels looks the best to me, with the speedster windscreen......... -
Another professional (?) build on EBay
JollySipper replied to iBorg's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
It's suppose to be a diorama piece............ -
I would like to make a street freak out of a '48 chopped coupe. What chassis with gasser-esque suspension will fit under the body of this one? Something along the lines of the Malco Mustang, maybe? Thanks for any help................ PS....... What could be done to the stock frame to just use it? Transverse leaves wouldn't be acceptable, would it? Thanks....

Hey, Carl..... Do you make your own plates? That's something I would like to be able to do. -

I was thinking of making a similar post here! I love all the guys here, I've been here since 2012 and have nothing but positive experiences with everyone....... I guess they let me stay on for comic relief!! -

What paints and primer are you using? The reason I ask is maybe you could get better results (which I'm sure it looks fine), with a different paint. Since I've switched to Dupli-Color stuff I get a lot better finish than with say, enamels........ -
'48 Ford mild custom-- body painted and foiled, 9/7
JollySipper replied to JollySipper's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Thank you, Tulio! Thanks, Terry..... The interior is fabric tan by Model Master, it comes in a small spray can. I like to use it because it dries rough to the touch, like scale fabric! The white is just bare plastic........... (don't tell anyone......)
