  2. Scabs are union workers who choose to work instead of strike.......
  3. Such a super good build!
  4. Tacos and Tuesday do go good together, so much so that someone should start a tradition...... Tuesday Taco or something similar..........
  5. I would really like to see the '59 Buick make it onto the shelves again.........
  6. Is anyone looking into using Keith Marks' decals for the full Mach 1 treatment? I know they were designed for an old kit, but I'm wondering how well they would work on this new kit..... A deep burgundy with silver stripes would be pretty.
  7. Hey, guys! I think I might have a little tip here that may be of use to some..... It's my spray method for painting bodies! I've got a technique, as we all do, and it's kind of been practiced enough that I can get good results pretty much every time. What I do that may be different than some is to spray my passes from the lower parts up. I'll mount the body on something that I can maneuver it with, usually a plastic cup. I spray the front grille/headlight area first, then rotate the body to one side. I'll spray each side, laying the passes like you would be laying shingles, from the bottom up......... Once both sides are coated, I tilt the body towards me and spray the trunk, roof, and front fender tops, again working up from the bottom (trunk). One benefit to using this method is, if you get a run in the paint, you won't be adding to the run by spraying more paint on to it as it runs down! Working up from a run keeps it from getting worse..... Also, spraying the tops last keeps the overspray from the sides landing on it..... Anyways, I hope my 'shingle pattern' spray method makes sense, and will hopefully help some of those trying to hone their paint skills.........
  8. Man, those are such pretty builds! The Charger looks real, and that Tweedie Pie...........
  9. Chas, don't show this to Bill, as he would buy it first! LoL, joking...... https://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/cto/d/mesa-1932-ford-ardun-roadster/7711644861.html
  10. Happy Anniversary!
  11. 'Wet behind the ears' used to be a phrase that described a rookie or beginner......
  12. Itza okay to put pineapple onna da pizza if the meat is Canadian bacon.......
  13. Belch all you want, it's considered good manners in some places.......
  14. It probably has a lot to do with what I just finished building..... I like to mix it up some, do a sports car, then maybe a custom, just to keep my interest up!
  15. That's so very cool, Thank You! I see you also relocated the fuel tank............. Do you guys have a plan as far as body/paint?
  16. It means there's always a plot twist, I do believe......
  17. Getting ready to call my neighbor to see if she still needs to do some laundry........ She doesn't have a washer in her apartment. I just have to get into 'deal with people' mode here.
  18. I like it! A little custom, a little 'bomb' style build........ The basis for these kits (I've built the coupe a few times....) is really good fodder for many types of build!
  19. I have those! If you want to just PM me..........
  20. I painted this Impala with DupliColor bronze wheel coating...... It goes on pretty much like paint, but you can't use just any clear over it. I far as I can tell, only the DupliColor 1K clear will work....... I hope this is helpful.......
  21. That's a super cool truck! They're tough trucks, too...... My first thought when I saw the pic was 'I wonder how he lowered it?'. I used to have a '71 in about the same condition, short bed, too. Do you have more pics?
  22. I've seen some cool rat-rod tanks made from Bic lighters. Just cap both ends, and you could use a wheel knock-off as a filler......
  23. That's half the fun! If your paint work always turned out perfect, there would be nothing left to strive for............
  24. Thanks, Carl! They have a pearl look to them in person........
