That looks pretty good..... I believe that's an early hemi engine, though. and They say the GTO was the first muscle car!

Hey, guys! I just recently discovered this fella...... I believe he was in Dinosaur Jr. He's been compared to Daniel Johnston, but this guy's songs are more like real songs. Here is him covering Ratt........ This sounds better than the original, to me anyway!
-
Have you got an interior color picked out? I bet black and white would really 'set it off' so to speak........
-
That look like a really dark gray to me.... DupliColor has a gray Perfect Match color that you could use without clearing it.

The Birthday miester..... Birthday-rama.... The Birth-anator! Makin' Birthdays........ Birth-a-rooni dooni..... LoL! A million points to who can guess what I'm referencing!

Is this a good kit? I've been thinking about getting one.......... Is it okay to ask what primer you used? Hard to tell, but the paint looks a little rough.......

Happy Birthday-ness, Carl friend!

Thanks, Guys! Even though I'm very interested in the Stephen King story, I really was hoping that the movie starring Pierce Brosnon (sp?) had been done as a book..... From what I understand, even though the stories share a name, the plots are very different. again, Thank You!

I've seen the movie 'The Lawnmower Man' a few times....... Excellent movie! I had a question about it. Was it ever made into a book? I know of a couple movies that were movies first then books. I understand the main character in the movie was loosely based on one in a short story by Mr. King. Is that story worth checking out? Thanks for any discussion.........

What Did You Get Today? (Not Model Related)

The start of cold weather means it's time for a new hat! Decky paisley bucket hat from eBay....... Bucket hats were 'all the rage' when I was a teen over 25 years ago, but isn't that how trends work? -
That's a nice fox chassis Mustang.........

Practice makes perfect in this little hobby of ours..........

Imagination; it's there you'll be free if you truly wish to be.........

That's a darn good build...........

Rice Krispies mixed with cocoa pebbles make a darn good Rice Krispies treat......

Thank you, my friend! I really like this primer..... It dries slick enough you don't really need to sand it. I sand it anyway, though..... Speaking of which, my can is low enough that I'm starting to have trouble getting it to spray, so it's soon to the parts store for more. I'll post some progress made on the chassis soon!
-
Well, the body received it's first coat of primer today! Looks pretty good for the most part...... Still need to do some scribing here and there, maybe more sanding in a few areas. That's all I have to show for now, even though it's a big step towards paint!
-
Thanks, Carl! I got the three kids (niece and two nephews) some things for Xmas........ One of my nephews is getting Spawn issue #1 comic book. I hope he digs it as much as I did at his age......
-
I ordered four items from e-they yesterday, and they all shipped today! Usually it's three or four days wait for shipment..... I don't have the postal nightmares y'all do, so I should have everything by the first of next week.
-
Here's a little more done...... This will be these parts' initial primer. They'll get wet sanded with #2000 and one more primer coat......

Friendly loveable Squirrels..
JollySipper replied to A modeler named mike's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
If you guys have bird feeders that you want the squirrels to leave alone........ You can mount a slinky, the old toy, to the bottom of the feeder. It will hang far enough that the squirrel will have to grab it when they climb the feeder. The slinky of course stretches, and down they go! -
It's kinda odd..... The paint set this came in dates 1994, but the mat has a date on it of 1977....... Must have been back stock at the time of packaging.
-
I sure hope so, Carl! I should be able to get everything but the main body in primer today..........
-
I scored a paint set here recently, it had this drop 'cloth' in it! The paints were dated 1994......... Do they still make these? I didn't want to ruin it, so I hung it as decoration. Those are build tips printed across the top and bottom.... The paints are still good, by the way!

Still some body work going on.......... It being 'big scale' just means the sink marks and mold lines are larger! There's some really bad areas in the coves on the fenders. Low spots from where the hinge bulkhead was molded into the inside. I'm going to try the 'prime sand prime' method to fix them. I've started that on the trough along the hood that I showed earlier...... That's what's going on right now! I'm working on the frame and such behind the scenes also........
