Review of Revell's new chrome spray paint
JollySipper replied to Monty's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
That looks like a Model Roundup product page...... I will say, even though their prices may seem a bit high, that Jack is a real pleasure to deal with and buy from. Good People..... -

Chuck, if it's cool I'd like to join in! I just happened to be starting on the same '41 Plymouth kit that you have there..... Gonna go with a mild custom! All I've done so far is the engine halves are together, and I've removed a running board perch. Always liked the look of the fat fender cars without their running boards. So if it's okay, I'll begin showing my progress here! -
Mustache shaped with wax is one way to recognize Salvador Dali.......

The paint job on the inspiration pic looks like it could be replicated with clear yellow over gold, maybe? or Even turn-signal amber over a base........... Just thinking aloud!

I really do hope all y'all have a pleasant Holiday season! This time of year, for some reason, makes me want to watch that old movie 'Flight of the Navigator'..... It's not a Holidays movie, but still a wholesome, good movie.

Be it true or not, they sure share some character traits! ( just kidding, Bill my man! )

Better not tell anyone that you're really Kenneth Howard......... (Yep! I figured it out! Bill's really Von Dutch......)

Something interesting with my driving game.........
JollySipper replied to JollySipper's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
So, you're 'retro', too.......... Does that make us trendy or something? Really though, the early Playstation games were excellent! There's a few I want to order from Lukie Games (used gaming site), including Sly Cooper, and maybe another Ratchet and Clank game...... -
I believe I'm going to have to buy a humidifier...... With the air being so dry, I'm getting shocked every time I touch something metal. It's compounded by the HVAC unit they installed being the largest one they made at the time (about 8 years ago). This apartment is maybe a three car garage in size, so the air unit was overkill.....

I was thinking of getting the steering wheel, as well. It's cool that they even scan the interiors of the real ones, but I wonder why they would.......... Can you see any of the interior in the later versions? -
I'm kind of a retro (read: can't afford a newer system...),gamer here with my old Playstation 2. I was playing Gran Turismo 4, when I had something occur to me..... This game is IN SCALE! The cars have definite dimensions, horsepower numbers, and weights. The courses are laid out in miles/tenths. I figure with my television, I'm at about 1/3rd scale from a real size vehicle... Just thought that was interesting!

Those are PRETTY! I like the shiny one the best........ LoL! Are they all for slot cars? Did some of them start out as kits?

What non-auto model did you get today?
JollySipper replied to chunkypeanutbutter's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Those look really neat! Figure painting is a completely different animal from model cars..... You should do some type of WIP with them. -
What did you see on the road today?
