Just a little more progress, guys....... I primed the chassis, painted the silver, then masked off for the frame....... -
You know, robots can select those images with traffic lights........ Ever notice when a pic online is loading, there will be a caption, "image may contain....." There's even an app that you can take a pic of a flower, and the app tells you what it is, even what's wrong with it........

Any kits with a Gen III Hemi in it?
JollySipper replied to Bills72sj's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
The Revell 2009 Challenger has a super nice modern Hemi in it.......... edit..... Sorry, man! I just looked at the prices of the Revell kits. Maybe the AMT 2014 Charger? -

Hey, fellas! Just wanted to show how I went about lowering the front....... I just drilled the spindle higher than the stock axle hole, and am using tooth picks (whatever works, right? ) to mount the wheels... Here's how it sits in the front.... Now I need to decide exactly what stance I want to have, though I'm thinking a little nose-down...... -
How do I spray these details?
JollySipper replied to Milo's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
What I might would do then, is to 'sand' what's on the parts with Comet and a tooth brush until it all looks dull, then give it another coat or two of primer..... The scrubbing will give what is on there some 'tooth', so your next coats won't pull away from the edges so bad...... -

You may need to prime your parts first, Milo man..... You'll get better coverage that way. -
These are all really super good builds! I always enjoy the treat of seeing your work.......... The Packard has me wanting to build a classic now!

Guys, I've got the body all sanded, except for attaching the front piece..... Not sure how 'molded-in' I'll do the front end, whether I leave the seams or not. I'm thinking about using these T-Bird wires on this.... What do y'all think? -
Thanks, Carl my friend! I'm just looking at the pics of it all in primer...... The trim on the doors is very pronounced, but where it continues onto the body is less defined. I did that filling the divot in the coves. What I think I might do is sand the trim on the doors so it looks more like that on the fenders. What y'all think?

Favourites of mine as far as sitcoms go are News Radio and Just Shoot Me.......
-
I think you just defined philosophy...........
-
Voluntary is your reaction to those states of mind, though.........

Hey, guys! I was able to get the final two wet coats of primer on everything over the last couple of days...... This will likely get a light wet sanding, then it's on to paint!

Was that enthusiasm I heard?

They say that whatever you're doing on New Year's day, you'll be doing all year........... So I hope all you guys are getting your modelling time in!

What did you see on the road today?
JollySipper replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I had to ride with this kid to a job site once...... He had put tires on his pickup that were meant for offroad use. After he reached about 45 mph, chunks of tire were flying off. About a mile down the road, you could smell the rubber being ruined! I was thinking 'what a maroon' to spend all that money on those tires just to ruin them on pavement..... -
Filling for those items at Taco Bell is some sort of mystery meat slurry...........

I've made a bit more progress! The engine is pretty much done........ I've moved on to body work..... Had to clean up where I removed the running boards, now I'm just flat sanding to prep for primer......
