Micr Nitro Wire Wheels
TedsModeling replied to DON-T2's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
TooOld (Bob Spedding) purchased these wheels from me in 1/25 scale and has documented the construction technique. He made many changes to the original directions I gave him and it appears he found the best way through trial and error. Yesterday Bob sent me an updated drawing, so he's still fine tuning. The photo Jim displayed is Bob's completed wheel. I'm using Bob's descriptions and photos to make a set of instructions. I'll include them with all wire wheel purchases. Thanks TooOld. -
1969 Camaro Pro Mod.... updates 11/12/13

A few of those pics look like they should be in a museum. -
Yeah, great job. I love the lines of the '36 Ford 3-window - love the long sweeping trunk line. Your's looks great!
-
You guys build such accurate engines, I use them as reference since I can't see the real things. I can't wait for Tyrone to get into 1/16 scale.
-
I agree with everyone else, Alan. Nice stance for the gasser era and the appropriate engine, too. I like it.
-
Baddgas, I just went back and looked at your work room. It looks just like mine - except for the trophies, kits, completed models and clean work space - othewise it's just like mine. Great bulld so far, just like we're accoustomed to from you.

1969 Camaro Pro Mod.... updates 11/12/13

I don't recognize the Flash Point body, Tyrone. Is this the 68 Camaro with your own body work? -
Dave - looking really nice. Love the intricate fuel pump and lug nuts. Love the 5-point harness, too. I don't see it on your car, but the same circa FC kit I'm working on has an electronics box just behind the fuel cell. I've got everything wired to it. I would guess a real small junction box box could be added to the frame. I've attached a photo here. Not all of the wires are running to it yet.

A couple of the chassis photos sitting on your bench looked like shots I've seen at R2B2! Good job, Bret. Are the headers brass? They look like metal.

New web site for Teds Modeling Marketplace
TedsModeling replied to TedsModeling's topic in Links to Aftermarket Suppliers
CrazyJim - I don't have a choice. I have to charge sales tax for Florida to keep the books straight. The 5% discount will almost pay for the sales tax and if you PM me, I'll make a deal with you. Bob - If it's the Micro Nitro set, it's 1/16 scale (and really nice, too). I had 1/25 wire wheels by Machined Aluminum Specialties, but I haven't been able to get in touch with Terry to get more. His web site is down and he doesn't respond anymore. -
I'm glad to announce our new web site and new features. I stock all of Pro Tech's 1/25 and 1/16 scale parts with your order going out the next day. I also stock many TDR parts, so you don't have to wait 3 weeks for delivery. Also find Flash Point, Micro Nitro, Futurattraction, Slixx, Dirt Modeler, Mark Johnson, Gasser Models and others. I'm getting new 'stuff' all the time and I'll take your suggestions on more 'stuff' to stock. If you like what you see, PM me and I'll give you a 5% off coupon. Can't beat that! Visit me at TedsModelingMarketplace.com I also have a blank Facebook page that I just started. Please LIKE me, take my survey of scales you build and leave comments.

Bill - I just went to your site for the first time and was impressed with the amount of info there. I've been wanting to subscribe to Gasser Magazine for quite some time. Which is better - Gasser Mag or Gasser Wars? I noticed I've already LIKED Gasser Madness.

New Stainless Products.

Looks good, Michael. I don't believe you broke down all of the individual Dzus fastener parts - that's terrific. It's nice to see these items in so many scales, also. What's new coming down the pike? -
I love the mile-high front stance. Very typical of the gasser era. Good start!
-
I like the color choice of the carpets. Black would have been too dark, another color would be conflicting and you have plenty of yellow already! What are you going to use for the Nav/CD panel?
-
After seeing these and your Corvette, I'm a real fan. Great work!
-
Excellent build, Lorenz. I had to look at a few shots twice because I thought they were a real car! I don't think I saw a scale for your car. Is it a 1/12 scale kit? You mentioned 1/6 sacle engines, so now I'm confused.

1/8 scale salt flat roadster.
TedsModeling replied to comp1839's topic in WIP: Other Racing: Road Racing, Land Speed Racers
What's the body from, Dave? It looks like hinges on the inside and out, but the doors don't appear to be cut out. -
Just crawled out from under a rock and saw this. Thanks for the kind words Joe, Michael S and Michael W. Charlie has allowed me to carry Pro Tech's full line of 1/25 and 1/16 products. You can order online and I normally ship the next day. The new web site is now up and running at: http://www.TedsModelingMarketplace.com

Looks nice underneath, Ace. Nice job painting it all out. Really brings attention to the individual parts.
-
Love the detail, Dave. The exhaust sensors look great. I didn't know they had them in '89. It's all really coming together.
-
Love a '41 Willys - can't wait to follow this. Great start.

To start with, these aren't my engines. They were built (most are WIP) by Greg McLaughlin in 1/16 scale. He's not a member here and I wanted to share his work with you.
