  1. You could spread butter all over a '66 Chevy II and then roll it in salt and it would still look fantastic - Love the '66 Chevy II's. Yours looks even better than that already, so I KNOW I'm gonna like it.
  2. Greg - It's about 40 miles to Pompano. I thought you were in the Ft Myers area when I saw you at the Bonita club meeting last month. I'm going to have 2 vendor tables at the show and hope everyone within range stops by to say hi. It would be great to put a face with the messages. See you there.
  3. His email is working because he responded to mine. I didn't ask and he didn't say how long before the new site is up. I'll ask him and report back. I have a few of his 1/16 items in stock, but no 1/25 scale.
  4. Just talked to Terry. He's coming out with a new web site, but is available by email or phone.
  5. He has also very nice '32 Ford 5W Coupe with Chevy 409 under the hood, custom trailer and this is the way he comes to racing: Man, you 'gotta love this tow vehicle!!
  6. Simply gorgeous, John. How did you get the simulated bolt heads to line up so well in a straight line? Do you use Future to glue them?
  7. Yes, thanks Michael. Specializing in 1/16 scale make it easier for the customer to find what they want and easier for me to support them. Mark is known for replicating most any 1/16 scale early race car HEMI or SOHC engine you want. Are you building a Beebe Mulligan, Keeling & Clayton, Don Garlits, Tony Nancy, Pete Robinson or other car? He can provide a detailed engine to suit your needs. The valve covers, type of blower, magneto used and more will be provided. To make this easier to order, I'm in the process of rewriting the descriptions on my site for Mark's engines so that you'll be able to select from a list. As Michael said, I have photos and detailed descriptions. You can also contact Mark directly for custom configurations. He has a fantastic BBC in the works with the Rick Arias heads option. You'll be able to start with the basic engine and then build the induction system you want. Stay tuned.
  8. I don't believe I just found this thread. What superior work! Your casting is extremely clean and crisp, Randy. I'm going to have search for more of your builds.
  9. Wow, Steve, this is really nice. I love that injector hat. How did you cut out your butterflies? Excellent job overall, man.
  10. Niko - You've probably seen them, but TDR makes excellent 2-piece turbo chargers in 2", 2.5" and 3" right and left. Thet're accurate, concise and ready to go. Just a thought for those tight quarters. Yours looks like they might be scale 2.5".
  11. I like it. I've been researching intake manifolds and throttle bodies for an upcoming project. I'd like to see your throttle body. I'm sure it's terrific and you're just being humble.
  12. I experimented with this one. I used a sliver of Bare Metal Foil and added a drop of Future to 'glue' it in place. I was undecided whether to paint it or not - so far 'not'.
  13. The car is great by itself and adding a wheelstand is even better. Nice touch with the rubber marks, too. Great model - love those altered wheelbase cars and injector stacks.
  14. Dave, I might have missed it, if someone else answered your question, Slixx has two Mallory decals .54" x .22" on their new 1/16 scale Drag Racing Contingency Sheet. I have them in stock. You're giving me the incentive to get back on my In-n-Out Funny Car. Dave - Great shot on the latching system. Never knew how they handled it.
  15. What an awesome street machine it's going to be! What are you going to do to the interior? Also, it's going to look lost without huge rubber in the rear - what's planned?
  16. I like the turbo idea again. It's a good break from blowers and a different challenge. Keep it coming!
  17. Too funny, Al. The only thing you left out was fingerprints in the glue joints.
  18. What a beauty, John. Excellent craftsmanship, painting and detailing. I can't follow the fire suppression lines to see the nozzles. What did you use for them? Love the color of the headers. You said you scratch made the fuel/oil tank plumbing fittings. Did you make all of the fuel and oil fittings?
  19. Something to be proud of for sure - and for a long time.
  20. There's so much detail there, my eyes are getting crossed trying to take it all in.. gorgeous...
  21. Thanks for the plug, Joe. Chris - I have soft aluminum line from .014" to .205" which is equal to 3/16" to 3 1/4" in 1/16 scale. My soft black line covers the same range which is either solid rubber or rubber tubing. An easy way to make the hard line straight (also works for Pro Tech braided lines) is to place it on a smooth surface and roll your hand over it. Joe did a great job in routing the lines to make it look realistic.
  22. That red 1:1 looks ALMOST as good as Tyrone's!
  23. You'd have to be burning the midnight hour many days to turn out wheels like Jim - he's the best! Your TDR tires should be in next Tuesday. That was pretty quick. I'll send them directly to Jim.
  24. Joe, if you have your own lathe and know how to use it, why aren't you making your own parts?
  25. Are you going to run the roll bar through the body and attach to the frame? It would look more authentic if it didn't bolt to the body. "I'm just sayin', ya'know". I don't know what the scale size is for your roll bar, but it does look pretty beefy. This is going to be a beast. I'm watching this one through.
