  1. Neat!
  2. That's a pleasure. I make most of my surfboards from casting plaster or just shaping plasticard......... and print a few decals. How or what are you using the strip the paint off? I've put one of mine to strip and I'm using brake fluid, but it's only taking one layer off at a time!
  3. Here are the photo's of your box top and the parts for mine and both should have three surfboards and the decals for them as well...... The box top for yours..... The box side of mine.... The parts and decals....................... And how mine should look built.....
  4. Well Chris after years of searching I found one of these on ebay here in the UK. But it's called the Hawk Sandpiper, and seems to have all the features of yours, here's the box top, as it's still on the shelf. What I will do is have a look at it and report back...................... It seems to have 'surfboard' style front wheel covers but I'll look it out and take some photo's.
  5. I'm converting this............ To this.....................
  6. I finally found this, after years of looking and no I haven't built it yet. For some strange reason, I seem to be frightened to try!
  7. Thanks guys. The one big problem is that I'm in the UK, where most of what you suggest is not available, only the brake fliuid. Mine isn't working that well but the can has been in the garage fo 20+ years and is most likely full of water as it picks up condensation in the air very easily .
  8. It's a Pocher Mercedes Benz Cabrio 1930's. The body is all plastic, but the rest is as the real thing, metal chassis etc.
  9. Well thanks guys. I suppose you might be surprised to know that I love decals!
  10. Thanks William, yes it's a great kit, with a number of aftermarket decal options.
  11. Very sad to see! I saw him at one of the F1 races last year.
  12. Superb JC it's coming along well. We meet up with some friends each Sunday morning for a coffee and a chat, Steve has the 928 5 litre V8 GT.
  13. Love the Shasta Caravan, pity it's out of production.
  14. Looking good Dann. the latest photo's here were at the Classic race meeting at Silverstone last weekend and at Goodwood the week before. Where I am now is just 20 miles from the original factory at Newport Pagnell, and the new factory 20 miles the other way near Banbury. So we see various camouflaged future cars. I was walking into the shopping centre of Buckingham where I live to see the new 2019 Aston Martin Vantage on the road just passing through. This photo was taken just outside their test track. One of my son's had the Dinky Toy version of the one your building just after the film was released. The button on the side opened the roof hatch and shot the passenger into the air and it had missiles that fired through the radiator grille. Keep up the good work Dann!
  15. Thanks RAMBENNA.
  16. Thanks bbowser. I didn't paint it. It came in a glossy yellow plastic so just polished it!
  17. I have a large 1/10th scale car kit and need to remove the paint from. It may be either Acrylic or Enamel spray paint, as it has that awful 'orange peel' effect. Can you advise me please?
  18. Cheers Chris. Thanks Jim.
  19. It's a Renault made in France, but I understand from our eldest son in Canada, that Renault don't export to either Canada or the USA.
  20. Lucky you. Can't afford anything like that , even the fuel prices here would be very expensive, it's £5.20 per gallon for petrol here. We run an Eco car, 1.5 litres turbo diesel and 60 miles to the gallon.
  21. Thanks jchrisf. When I was at the Le Mans 24 hour races, the Corvettes were the noisiest by quite a large margin!
  22. Built box stock , just added tow rings and aerial.
  23. Super 356! I was just going to ask about how you did the arches and you beat me to it! I have other plastic spoons that I may use but they aren't quite that shape!
  24. Thanks guys for your comments. Yes it's one of the worst kits out. I've even bought a re-introduced one and it's just as bad! it is though one of my most favourite 1:1 cars.
  25. Two at present. I'm still trying to finish a Pocher 1930's Mercedes Benz Cabrio that my wife bought for me in 1988! Other than that a Revell CR6 race car.
