Thanks Gary. Yes although I have a stock of tyre decals, I had not seen this one with double decals on each tyre. I couldn't get the Tamiya ones to work as they are the reverse type. But mine are the yellow Dunlop ones so I tried out and it looks great! The McLaren tyre decals are the make on one edge and the tyre info on the opposite edge, also interesting. I also use the tyre logo's on road cars/vans/trucks/beach buggies etc to add a bit more interest.

Thanks Andre It's a Tamiya Kit................
-
Just a Snap Kit and has full cockpit, seat, roll cage, full dashboard and decals for all gauges, steering wheel and seat belts. Oh and an interesting addition all widow detail decals on the inside! Consider two Le Mans cars 1989 and 2013............

Cheers Don, yes as you can see I like decals!

This was bought through ebay UK in a Fujimi Pacific Racing kit, But with no decals as per the box art.that was already started, in that most of the parts were off the sprues, but none of it was built. I bought Colorado decal sheet for the ART Racing Team. The main bonnet decal was a different shape, so I scanned and printed a second set and cut the decals to fit.

Photobucket Problems
PatW replied to Dave Ambrose's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I'd been with PB for over 5 years on a Free 2.1GB deal and had used just 0.6GB! 10 days ago all of my pics on 7 sites that I post to were all wiped off by Photobucket! No warning, no explanation! On trying to talk to a human they sent a robot answer, 'How to deal with troubleshooting?', then 'You need to buy our top priced deal or else', something like $500 per year! I went onto Fotki as I know of no one else who does this 3rd party hosting, and got 3 years for $120. That's good for me as a pensioner! I've since found out from another modeller that he has gone to Imgur for free! Hey Ho, at least I'm back on and have been able to refresh at least my latest posts! -
As a Beetle owner x 5 I can see real potential in this one! Well done Dale, with no outward sign of the changes!

Whoa real rusty Chuck! Fabulous finish and heading for the surf, superb!

I've checked my usage: My free storage is 2.1 GB I have used 0.6GB (30%) So why am I blocked? I hope someone can tell me because photobucket are not answering my calls/emails etc! I've even attempted to pay $2.99 or $5.99 per month by paypal but their website doesn't accept my request! I have a Pinterest account which is free so I'll do everything there and ignore the 7 sites I contribute to! Update 02.07.16 changed to Fotki better deal no hassle!

This is a really dirty trick by photobucket, squeezing pensioners for money! I think my modelling days are over if we have this trouble!

Yes they've hit me this week, the same as above! I have a pop up on Photobucket that tells me they want $9.99 per month, I'm in the UK so how much is that in real money! Fotki want the same so it looks like I'm about to close down on all the websites I send to (7) !!! I'm a pensioner so that's killed my modelling! And showing it on all websites!

Cheers Dann, yes we all need to try something different, even though it may have only a few parts. Yes the 1/43 scale was interesting against a 1/25-1/25 scale dio, but if you take the pics low down, pointing upwards at say 45 degrees, the car looks the right size! I've contacted photobucket about this above but they haven't answered!

Ferguson Tractor
PatW replied to JTRACING's topic in WIP: All The Rest: Motorcycles, Aviation, Military, Sci-Fi, Figures
Ah the old 'Fergie' hundreds of them here in the UK, and still being used! Good job by the way. -
Built in France before WW2 exported all over including thousands into the UK. Unique suspension system years before anyone else, drive anywhere, originally used on French Farms and vineyards to cover rough ground without breaking an egg! Corrugated bodywork for strength in such thin steel, two cylinder air cooled engine driving the front wheels, the first manufacturer to have all the works under the bonnet with no transmission tunnel to get in the way, flat floor perfect for space, for passengers and carrying loads, with removable canvas seats and full length canvas sun roof. This one of Heller's cv's in 1/43

Superb! I have scratchbuilt a Teardrop the same shape as yours but not in that detail, very well done!
-
Cheers Dan, I only picked this up a couple of weeks ago, very easy only a few parts, no glue required, it's just finding the right decals out of a box of spare ones.
-
Thanks Max, I'd wish that I'd had one, but most didn't come to the UK!
-
Chassis painted metalic grey, decals from spares, two alloy exhaust tubes and body clear coated.

Hi Dann, thanks for your comments. Yes the rear wheel/tyre combo was left over from the Lindberg Psychedelic Surf Buggy because I thought the front wheels/tyres too big and swapped them for smaller ones. Changed to Fotki, no more hassle with the robots at Photobucket!

This is brilliant! I wish I had seen this as I also have a McLaren race car to build! I've been a couple of times and the atmosphere is electric. On one of the occasions I was there we saw Paul Dumbreck go over and land in a clearing in the woods! 260,000 fans in utter silence until they knew Paul was OK !
