  9. Bought this from my favourite source Ebay UK, for a small sum. Opening the box I noticed that the chrome parts were in the sealed bag with all of the other sprues except the windows and tyres. Being a bit scratched and dull I painted all but the windscreen frame that was still shiny chrome, with clear red acrylic, to give it an 'anodised' look. I also added a few more colourful flame decals from my stash of Meyers Manx builds.
  10. Well thank you Chuck that's a pat on the back and no mistake!
  11. Thanks Scott. We were out in Calgary and up to Vancouver this time last year, great place!
  12. It looks great, well done Curt. I used an 'already started' Volvo racing estate with a few bits missing, using the bike and scratchbuilding the rear rack...
  13. Thanks Dann. Well as I'm retired I have about four and a half days per week to build, so that's easy time!
  14. Again a kit bought as 'already started'. I have a number of Scooby rallycars, so built this as a Time Attack one lap special................
  15. Superb! I had this kit when it first came out donkeys years ago. I get over the decal problem by firstly scanning them to my PC before building any kit. I had to do this recently with a Fujimi McLaren MP4-12C GT3 set of decals that although aftermarket were the wrong shape for the Bonnet slots/intake. I printed off a new set of decals and cut the bonnet decal to fit. This is the real car showing the small intakes..... And this is the kit with the wider slots and the newly printed decal.................
  16. Being reduced from £42 to £20 seemed like a good deal so bought.... . Hopefully to turn it into.......... Liam Doran's World Rallycross car!
  17. I worked in my last job at The Open University in the UK. I spoke at length on the subject of Electric vehicles to various scientists on campus. The big question was, 'How are we going to generate enough electricity for 65 million people. firstly for their homes businesses and then for vehicles to use for work plus leisure?' To we continue to pollute the atmosphere with huge coal powered power stations ( which makes things worse) or add or replace them with nuclear powered ones? If we change to nuclear power we need to build 10 or 15 more of those to cope with demand and adversely what do we do with that waste product from that? There are so many questions surrounding this perceived changes plus politicians make these scathing comments normally without any research at all! Plus recently the leader of our Labour Party announced that they if they get into power nationally would cancel out all student debt, when he was told it would cost £100bn he quickly said 'Well we didn't research the subject before I made that pledge! So watch this space! We've firstly got to find £55billion for the HS2 High Speed, south to north railway rail network 'White Elephant' that's going to take decades to build! Politicians make wild statements without knowing all the facts as they regularly grasp at straws trying to supposedly save the planet!
  18. Thanks Dann and yes I'll keep'em coming!
  19. Cheers Joe, I just love decaling!
  20. Thanks Dan.

    Isetta

Wow, superb build David! Having been born just after WW2 I was getting into cars about the age of seven and there were a lot of these and Messerschmitt bubble cars in the UK. The way that they were parked facing the pavement helped get out onto the pathway and two, you could get two in an ordinary parking space, as you can now with the Smart car. The Messerschmitt top was made from the fighter aircraft canopy. Both the Isetta and messerschmitt were powered by single cylinder two stroke motorcycle engines, noisy and smoky!
  24. Perhaps so Rob, I have no idea.
