    Rusty Rat Rod

Hi Dann, thanks for your comments. Yes the rear wheel/tyre combo was left over from the Lindberg Psychedelic Surf Buggy because I thought the front wheels/tyres too big and swapped them for smaller ones. Changed to Fotki, no more hassle with the robots at Photobucket!
  3. This is brilliant! I wish I had seen this as I also have a McLaren race car to build! I've been a couple of times and the atmosphere is electric. On one of the occasions I was there we saw Paul Dumbreck go over and land in a clearing in the woods! 260,000 fans in utter silence until they knew Paul was OK !

    Rusty Rat Rod

Thanks geetee66. Yes I found the headers, hung them upside down to miss the steering column, Bent the tips down with a flame, then made the cans to go on the ends, nice and loud!

    Rusty Rat Rod

Thanks Bob, I'll speak to someone about the pics. I've been having a lot of probs with Photobucket so that may be it! Yes you mention the Uncertain T chop, well having taken a delivery of a resin Uncertain T kit, I copied the rear end chassis and springs to put the homemade rear axle onto! I made a hook from a paperclip and hung the number plate off it.

    Rusty Rat Rod

I had the bodyshell which I chopped and welded together, I had wheels/tyres,engine,steering wheel, seats and made most of the rest. My first dropped rat rod. Oh and I opened and hinged the doors.
  11. Really KOOL! Especially like the bikes as well!
  12. I'm looking forward to seeing it as a racer as per photo!
  13. Superb build, I found and built one this year, not easy to find in the UK, at a reasonable price. Well done!

    Uncertain T

Super builds in super colours, well done David! I've been looking for one of the Monogram kits for years here in the UK! So someone gave me a tip that these were being produced in resin down south in Oztralia. So last week this turned up.... Am I chuffed or what! Candy Apple Spray at the ready!
  20. Nice one Bob, I look forward to the next episode! I did the same on my Aurora Dune Buggy build, washed the kit, added the body decals and gave it two coats of clear gloss.
  21. Two things dropped on my mat this afternoon............ a Heller 1/43rd Citroen 2CV with grooved bonnet design of 1938.. And a resin kit of the Uncertain 'T' from Oz sent on the 16th May to me here by 24th May, very good on economy shipping! Cast by ResinBlob64 or Glenn Polkinghorn.

    Aurora Dune Buggy

Thanks Dann, yes the dio is pretty handy being able to take various sizes. I've ordered an early Heller Citroen 2CV kit, with the corrugated bonnet in 1/43rd! We'll see if that's too small for the French Backstreet Garage!
  23. Two of my latest builds, one is a rare 1/32 Dune Buggy, and the other with superb decals....................

    Aurora Dune Buggy

Thanks Tom, yes I'm a bit carefull after it happened once, and have scanned all decals when I buy an older kit, just in case.
