Wow, superb build David! Having been born just after WW2 I was getting into cars about the age of seven and there were a lot of these and Messerschmitt bubble cars in the UK. The way that they were parked facing the pavement helped get out onto the pathway and two, you could get two in an ordinary parking space, as you can now with the Smart car. The Messerschmitt top was made from the fighter aircraft canopy. Both the Isetta and messerschmitt were powered by single cylinder two stroke motorcycle engines, noisy and smoky!
  5. Perhaps so Rob, I have no idea.
  6. Whoa there! We have plenty of Mini's here in the UK, where's my laser cutter now? Fantastic Chuck, well done!
  7. Thanks guys, yes very satisfying, a few difficult fitting parts, but not because of the parts but the general tight spaces. The top wing was odd as you had to lay the wing on the table and put the car upside down,on top!
  8. Thanks David, yes I did a bit of Googling to get things the right colour! I love decals! If I can't buy them in the UK I print them!
  9. One that's been on the shelf for a while, a car that we don't see here in the UK. Quite a few parts, interesting and satisfying build. I couldn't find any Hoosier tyre decals in the UK, so did a search on Google for the real sprint car and found that they used Yellow Goodyear Eagles. Searched my decal box of spares and found two for the rears. One thing I couldn't quite understand was that all the large major parts were chromed, that had to be painted, so out with the oven cleaner and hey presto!
  10. That's a question on the Jalopy Journal site 'How to Supercharge a 4 banger motor'
  11. It's an old kit by MPC Dann, but I don't know how old!
  12. Thanks again guys.
  13. looking good guys!
  14. Superb again Jim! I've just put an MPC Hombre pickup on here all military!
  15. Thanks again Brian, It's just that I been doing this now for 60+ years and really, really enjoying it. Always trying something different, building in plastic, resin, white metal, printing decals, scratchbuilding, I'm now trying casting, initially with plaster and have bought the chemicals to try resin casting, when I can get my head around the measuring of the different components! But in the meantime still building. I finished an MPC Hombre Pickup yesterday, but as I bought it as an 'already started' I found four sets of airforce and military decals in the box, so built it military! I started a Revell Steve Kinser Sprint Car kit today, we don't see them at all here in the UK, so something different again, happy modelling!
  16. Thanks Don.
  17. Thanks guys.
  18. Thanks Brian.
  19. Another of my cheapy ebay 'already started' kits. As it came with 4 sets of USA and other military decals, I thought it a good idea....
  20. Thanks Dann yes a brilliant Snap Kit but all the detail, using the kit decals.
  21. Cheers Dann, yes a kit I'd had for a year, just waiting for the ART Team decals by Colorado to come in and then modify to fit.
  22. Well here are two that I finished last week. A McLaren MP4 12C GT3 2013 and a Porsche 961 of 1989. The McLaren is a Fujimi kit with aftermarket ART Team decals from the Colorado Company and the Porsche is a simple but effective Snap Kit using the kit decals.
