  1. Another of my ebay, part started 'Woody' selection. I've not been able to use the wing/fender running board piece in this build as it was badly distorted, the kit may have been stored somewhere warm as it was also very brittle. This may have been why the first owner was put off building it. Anyway otherwise the build went well. I've added internal rear tubs to fill the gap and added woodgrain decal to those and the inside of the drop down tailgate. I also added alloy exhaust ends. I also noticed in my research that people used to carry surfboards around in them...............................
  2. Thanks for the info John

  9. Just won on ebay UK, a damaged kit, previous owner tried to cut the interior floor out! Easy, stick it back in! Only other prob.......No Decals! Not bad for under £10!
  10. Superb! I'm into surf stuff as well.
  11. Thanks guys, nice reaction and thanks Curt for that info.
  12. Thanks for that weather report Jim. It's 6C here, that's about 42 F, very wet looks to be in for the weekend. I'm telling you this at 10.12pm Saturday, It's pouring with rain outside and looks to be like that until Monday! Enjoy the weekend show.
  13. Thanks guys. Yes Ray I would have thought that they would have set them into the front wings/fenders, but I know nothing of American car design history. Where they setting headlights into the front bodywork at that time?
  14. Cheers Jim, how's Florida for the weather?
  15. An interesting subject as it doesn't show any 'Woodie' on the box art or in the plans or in the box! So I thought I'd add it! The front wheels were heavily fluted, which weren't very nice at all. Looking through the chrome parts there are a number of extra bits from a standard kit, so I cut the fluted area of the wheels out, replaced that with a piece of plasticard with a hole in the centre to give the correct offset on the axle ends. Using the separate chromed rear halves of the rims, opening out the hole and adding spare domed hubcaps for the smooth look. The paint is Plasti-Kote Metallic Blue.
  16. Superb Rocket Bunny well done Silver Foxx!
  17. Wow Dog a Cheetah! Are HRM Canadian or American based?
  18. Now this is different! It'll look good on a roof rack or trailer in 1/52 scale!

Cheers Ron, thanks for the comments and yes I've seen a similar kit but the box art shows side decals and the headers are different........................ Different headers and decals, no decals with this one! Everything else looks the same.. This kit is the Ford T Street Rod.

Thanks guys. I tried other colours but had problems with drying even after 2 grey undercoats and 2 of white undercoat. Firstly yellow gloss, clean it all off! Then Black Gloss and the same reaction, not properly dry just a bit tacky after a couple of days in a warm room! So clean it all off add all of the undercoats and tried Plasti-Kote rattle can chrome, 3 coats and 2 coats of Tamiya Pearl Gloss. At last!
