  1. I see two 914 Porsches there!
  2. Yes I have built the mono-wing about two years ago, nice kit.
  3. When my youngest son bought over his then girlfriend (now wife) She said that she was told although I was in my then late 60's that I still played with toys! But I notice all the time that people who sit around after retiring with no hobbies can't understand the idea of having hobbies at all. Our local 'Men in Sheds' has loads of men who only had a job that took over their lives, but now can't even drive a screw into a piece of wood or even change a light bulb! As a 'Practical Man' I've built kit cars, built log cabins, wired new light fittings (after being trained by my late electrician brother) laid crazy paving, built garden walls and laid wood floors (although I can't now that my knees won't stand it). Anything practical interests me and I must try it! Like I still build model kits at 76 when I started at 8 years old with Airfix WW2 fighter planes and tube glue, yuk!
  4. I can't see where to put this as a just bought, as it's a plane! A cheapie already opened
  5. Thanks Larry. I'm having problems posting pics since my Fotki had a hiccup!
  6. Just finished! As the window pieces fell through the openings I choose some thin clear plastic retail packaging, cut out and added to the body.
  7. Cheers Carl, Just finished!
  8. Yes we in the UK had various Fibreglass kit cars, sitting on Beetle chassis, some very good, some very bad! I built one of these kits a few years back. It took a lot the line up the top and bottom halves of the body!
  9. Thanks guys. The roof light bar legs are too long so I will have modify the way it sits on the roof! Yes Noel, a veritable Chelsea Tractor!
  10. Thanks David, that is an accolade!

    Rolife Greenhouse

Thanks Carl. Rolife do all manner of different building style kits.
  13. Thanks Carl. I've just found a 1/24 scale (+ other scales) 3D kit on ebay, very similar,WW2 GERMAN RAUPENSCHlEPPER OST (RSO) But in this scale £65! On WWW.battletowar.co.uk
  14. Update: The body is on! Now to finish, lights, bumpers, door mirrors etc.
  15. Yes the latest rally car kits are very good, but as a pensioner the prices are out of reach. I've built about six Tamiya Subaru's (They had the factory 20 miles away), and a few Mitsubishi's and Fords, but the latest ones are far too expensive!
  16. Started a few days ago, posting here without Fotki that went wrong last Thursday. WOW it worked, I wish that every forum had this, so easy! Update 14.11.24 The body is now coated in a nice glossy clear coat! Further Update 15.11.24 Tried to put the windows in but found that all of them fell through the openings! I always save clear plastic retail packaging so new larger windows now in place!
  17. I just go over the tread area with a sanding stick.
  18. I don't know where to ask this. I use Fotki, downloading from picture files and further onto various forums. When I start up my PC each day the Fotki square comes up on screen automatically, showing it ready to use the download to Fotki Folders. It then drops down into the Desktop line at the base of the screen. Last Friday it didn't appear , me thinking that their feed/website was down for some reason. Looking into my Card Index under Fotki, I went through the normal process of going to Fotki Desktop and re-loading the FD2 Setup. But nothing, so still no way of using Fotki. Some say across the forums use the 'drag and drop' method, but not being a 70+ year old technology is zero! Any help would be gratefully received.
  19. Cheers Sean, well it would be chilly in Russia during the winter!
