  1. Update: The body is on! Now to finish, lights, bumpers, door mirrors etc.
  2. Yes the latest rally car kits are very good, but as a pensioner the prices are out of reach. I've built about six Tamiya Subaru's (They had the factory 20 miles away), and a few Mitsubishi's and Fords, but the latest ones are far too expensive!
  3. Started a few days ago, posting here without Fotki that went wrong last Thursday. WOW it worked, I wish that every forum had this, so easy! Update 14.11.24 The body is now coated in a nice glossy clear coat! Further Update 15.11.24 Tried to put the windows in but found that all of them fell through the openings! I always save clear plastic retail packaging so new larger windows now in place!
  4. I just go over the tread area with a sanding stick.
  5. I don't know where to ask this. I use Fotki, downloading from picture files and further onto various forums. When I start up my PC each day the Fotki square comes up on screen automatically, showing it ready to use the download to Fotki Folders. It then drops down into the Desktop line at the base of the screen. Last Friday it didn't appear , me thinking that their feed/website was down for some reason. Looking into my Card Index under Fotki, I went through the normal process of going to Fotki Desktop and re-loading the FD2 Setup. But nothing, so still no way of using Fotki. Some say across the forums use the 'drag and drop' method, but not being a 70+ year old technology is zero! Any help would be gratefully received.
  6. Cheers Sean, well it would be chilly in Russia during the winter!
  7. The kit... In winter camo.. With a scratch-built cover.. With kit supplied tilt..
  8. All done! With a flat bed cover from spare plasticard.. And the tilt cover from the kt.. And rear..
  9. Thanks mustang1989, it's frosty winter.
  10. Yes Bainford, in 1/24 it would be great. That's what I can't understand that 99 per cent Military is in 1/35!
  11. Cheers Carl, the rest is on the WIP forum.
  12. Winter's coming! Having looked at the options in the kit, I'm thinking of making a hard cover for the bed area.
  13. Cheers Joe, here's a start to some paint, so now deciding what colours on the bed.
  14. Here we are Dave, a few bits on behind the cab and test fitting the rear bed, plus added matte black to the cab roof before a few more scuffs! And mud/rust whatever!
  15. A bit more today Carl. I haven't fixed the rear bed yet just added/painted a few bits behind the cab and painted the roof matte black, ready for a few scuffs.
  16. No i don't have any stuff about my scooters and they were Lambretta's, that went in my 20's, and that's now 50 years ago! Although I still buy button down collar shirts in blue check and light coloured Stay Pressed Chino trousers!
  17. Cheers Mark, absolutely great to race! As a retired race/rally marshall I've seen cars of this size and make doing both. The driver need a great deal of skill to drive one safely, and very fast!
  18. Tracks on today, choice of rear, fully enclosed covered bed or open bed with sides.
  19. Cab and chassis done, with track finished today. In this kit there are two options for the rear carrier, one is a totally covered unit or two which is an open pick-up style bed with sides.
  20. Thanks guys. It's a great kit with no issues. It's also interesting that within a mile of here we have both a basic Fiat 500 petrol, that a young lady is learning to drive in, and in the same house her mother who is teaching her has a deluxe EV version with a sun roof and in two tone paint and flash alloys ala ABARTH! Also a few other both basic and Abarth petrol powered and EV's in the town!
