  1. Cliff's notes: The model companies never listen, all they ever make is more blah blah blah, well I'll tell you what, if they listened to me they'd make blah, blah, blah instead!
  2. I know for sure and I know where the photo is from. It's from: You really didn't think I'd make it that easy, do you?
  3. The version Harry showed is obnoxious...the ride height, headlight location, and wheels kill it...with fire. Amazing how the same car (Factory Five makes them) w/o fenders looks: Goes from a car I wouldn't be caught dead in to a car I'd love to own/drive to every cruise night!
  4. I hadn't thought that far ahead, but you are right, and Fujimi will never do that. For those that don't know, the Cube has asymmetrical rear glass/pillars, so RHD and LHD versions are mirror images of each other...swapping a LHD dash isn't enough, a whole new body, with different glass and interior would be necessary. I really liked the last generation Cube which wasn't sold here...the new one looks goofy, way too much radius in the window corners.
  5. The optional version is different wheels (described by a guy on AF as Brabus Mono Block E wheels vs. 5 spokes on the regular SL63 AMG), I think they'll all have an engine, at least in the first go-round.
  6. Superglue is fine if you use it w/an accelerator. That is the key, apply a drop of superglue in the mounting hole, apply the part, and then apply a drop or squirt of accelerator on the joint and it's done, and does not give off any vapor that causes the white haze. Or soak a Q-tip in accelerator and apply to the male pins of the part being located, so that when it is in place it will set rather quickly. Again w/o haze. I use superglue/accelerator for a lot of parts and never get hazing, ever...even the few times I've applied it to clear (in a non-visible area). Sometimes a couple "tack joints" of supeglue/kicker inside the glass to hold it, while a stronger bead of canopy glue is applied to other areas for long-term strength. I haven't used tube glue in decades. I do use Tamiya extra thin liquid cement, it's awesome, and the brush is very nice and precise. I use (in order) superglue/accelerator, canopy glue (for clear/lenses), Tamiya thin cement (for some sub assemblies of styrene to styrene before painting), and epoxy for joints requiring a lot of strength.
  7. God will get you for that, Walter Rotaries rule Killer Vega, love it!
  8. Chris, for a company that claims it wanted to rewrite the rules of sportscar design, they sure didn't rewrite the Ferrari formula, and Ferrari just trumped them thoroughly. It's a decent looking car, but the overall shape is nothing new and detailing falls short of my expectations. It looks like a well-thought student design project for a mid-engine Ferrari. I was expecting more, I guess. Mercedes/AMG have just thoroughly trumped the performance of the McLaren SLR with the new gullwing SLS. Styling on that car is also polarizing...I like it, but the roof looks too simplistic...a roadster/spyder will look better, but that's the case with the original 300SL as well, I far prefer the roadster. And this is from someone who generally likes coupe styling better than convertible styling on the same car.
  9. After seeing the new Ferrari 458 Italia, this is a letdown. Rather boring/derivative, in comparison, and not nearly the shot out of the ballpark that the F1 was. This isn't really a replacement for that car, but still...I'm underwhelmed. The overall shape is okay, but it's like I'm not really seeing anything new, and looking at a second-tier supercar design. Ferrari knocked the 458 right out of the ballpark...it's going to be a hard car to beat. I could envision it being the McLaren F1 replacement...it's that good. Interesting that the designer, Frank Stephenson, who did some final tweaking of the McLaren, also worked for Ferrari/Pininfarina. I wonder what he said when he saw the new McLaren.
  10. I know the answer! All I can say is...I prefer fenderless.
  11. Beautiful model, Bill. I'll have to get mine build one of these days. The wheels look great, and perfect use for those Monogram TRX tires. Wonder how many people know it's a Cobra 289 underneath?
  12. Wut? I nevar heared such crazy thing's
  13. Great deal! Did you buy a dozen of those Jags? (look at the front tag). I've been to their store and to a few model shows in MI and Ohio. Imports are usually dirt cheap in those locales...a dirty little secret most people shopping outside the area don't know. I got some great deals a few years back on some import kits (Tamiya, Heller, Protar, Gunze) in their shop
  14. Knowing Juha that's probably not flash, it's probably scale wheel weights. Look at the rear wheel as well.
  15. Real or model? Bugatti Stratos concept model.
  16. I'm very glad to hear that Revell is doing this. Great job Revell!
  17. Oh well, better luck next time, as they say. Noobs come here and blurt out an answer or website to prove they know the answer, w/o realizing that the voting is supposed to be "blind" and that giving away answers in the post isn't how the game is supposed to be played. However, as there are no rules posted, it happens from time to time.
  18. As mentioned in the text and by the color of the car in the photo, he's looking for a Caribbean Pearl Blue metallic color, not the iconic AM green that's listed on Scalefinishes. It's a nice color...hopefully if they get the code Scalefinishes can offer it to everyone
  19. Check your PM's for my local contact who should be able to get that information for you, since they restore Aston Martins and we go to their shop before our NNL every year. I got their information from Henry Trent.
  20. I'm looking forward to the Petite LeMans Will be a blast...not sure if I'll get out there any on Thursday, but Fri/Sat we'll be there as usual. Sorry Nick
  21. Whats nut's is that you are posting tabloid drivel on a model car bored.
  22. I really wish we could embed these videos; here we get to hear the true story told by Ricardo Montalban
