  1. Dale - the type at the bottom is a little hard to read. What magazine is that illustration from ?
  2. Honestly I'm looking forward to your build. I love funny cars.
  3. A little bit of cleanup work and they will look great.
  4. A few more ..............http://i1311.photobucket.com/albums/s666/56ChevKRy/Art/ALLISON_1_zpsb7cdeeb2.jpg http://i1311.photobucket.com/albums/s666/56ChevKRy/Art/RUSTY_zps287d0461.jpg http://s1311.photobucket.com/user/56ChevKRy/media/Art/J-Spencer_zpsc22f75ca.jpg.html
  5. Looks like a great start.
  6. Like everyone said - great job. What scale is it ?
  7. Looking good Niko. Question for reference pic - is that a battery I see in front of the motor ?
  8. You bought your wife a cheap ring ? This is what the surgeon removed ? New licorice ? Something the cat coughed up ? Solidified diesel smoke from my neighbor's Dodge pickup ? What do I win if I'm right ?
  9. Chris - this is what happens when you use lime gummy candy instead of the plastic. Ha. They look great, but it is hard to see how smooth the surface is. I'm sure you will show us after they are primered. Looking forward to more.
  10. I just came across this build. Great job and great photography.
  11. Great stance. Very clean.
  12. I agree, the gunmetal paint looks great. I also have a ratrod to do. I love 'em.
  13. Looks great Dave. Looking forward to more updates of this build.
  14. Dave- good to hear from you. Mark your calendar for Nov. 9th - Dragfest at Bruce Larson's barn. Chris- hope all is well in AZ and looking forward to more of your funny car.
  15. Just found this post. Excellent job. Do you have any interior reference pics ?
  16. Thank you Dinky. I used part of a drive belt from an Epson 7800 inkjet printer that was being thrown out. Lately I've been struggling with the fuel lines - getting those dang fittings on the braided lines. As a break I've been working on another kit. And raking leaves.
  17. I'm curious how his printer works, too. Is the material from a 3D printer as dense as styrene, or more? Good progress Chris.
  18. Very cool. I like it.
  19. You're right John. Words can't express the feeling of the blast from two funny cars when they leave the line. For the first round we sat on the pit side in the sun. Second round we sat on the other side in the shade right by the starting line.
  20. Oh man, your wife got lipstick on the block. Hope it cleans off.
  21. http://s1311.photobucket.com/user/56ChevKRy/library/Maple%20Grove%20Oct%202013 Pics from Maple Grove yesterday. We talked to Jeg Coughlin outside his pit. Very nice guy and was not acting in a hurry to get away from the fans. He answered a couple questions I had about his car.
