  1. The mockup looks really good.
  2. Amen. I've learned a lot from this forum. You're doing a really good job.
  3. It looks great Chris. Leave it and carry on. Don't lose sleep over a .001".
  4. Great looking stuff is right.
  5. Where did you get that template with all the holes in it ?
  6. We print Rat Rod magazine where I work. I look forward to every issue. I forwarded the link to this build to Steve the editor. He said he loves it.
  7. Amazing work. The Baron is coming along great. Also love the desk upgrade. I need to partition my drawer in my drafting table the way you did. Great idea.
  8. Looks excellent so far Greg. Too bad about the hood. Looking forward to more of your build.
  9. Great work. The engine is looking beastly. Looking forward to more.
  10. Chris it looks great. Assuming the roof is not flat, did you have to bend the hinge a hair to fit the contour ?
  11. For some reason the only pics I could see were the license plates. I was able to see CrazyRichard's great looking coupe.
  12. Looks really good. I liked the other version of it too.
  13. A great start. That is an awesome magazine. So much creativity going on in those pages and they show us how they do it. Keep up the good work.
  14. Thanks Niko. Good info. Carl I wonder if vinyl whitewalls are different from dry transfer whitewalls. I don't know myself. I have used Shabo lettering on slicks on a couple of drag kits and had no problems. They have been on the tires for years. I always thought Shabo letters were a type of pigment on wax paper. That was my guess anyway. I never researched them.
  15. And being a beginner with this method it's easy to wind up with some not-so-straight lines. Thanks for the advice Marcos. I'll keep practicing and I will make it to one of the meetings of the model club soon.
  16. Dave the chute brackets look great and I love how you mounted the front hubs with brackets so they would be stable to determine where they attach to the frame. Thanks for sharing.
  17. Great job Mr. Scully. And your excellent photos really help.
  18. Good to know Hugh. How long did you let the enamel dry before applying Future?
  19. Looks great Norbert. I love Pro Stock.
  20. Good update Chris. I'm sure you'll nail it (or screw it or solder it or whatever ). I'm another one looking forward to the hinge results.
  21. I don't know if anyone has already posted this topic, but I thought it would be helpful. Please post the info you have gained on what NOT to do with paints, adhesives, decals, etc. that will let everyone know the long term effects of incompatible substances. I'm sure someone has painted, glued or decaled something that looked great, but down the road something went awry. I assume we all know not to apply lacquer over enamel due to the different drying times, but I shouldn't assume things, right ? Myself, I would like to know if spraying Dullcote over applied decals has a bad effect after a few months or years. Or does aluminum tubing show corrosion over time ? Please cut loose guys on anything long term negative. I look forward to seeing what you have to say.
  22. Great info Marcos. I have started doing this on my builds. I also tried it on my grandson's Vette. I sprayed on some Plastikote primer after scribing and applying some AK Interactive wash, but some of the wash is no longer visible. I guess I will have to rescribe and reapply the wash ? Also, how do you resharpen the scriber ? Any help is appreciated.
  23. Looks like a good idea. I need to build a spray booth.
  24. Beautiful work Rickard. Can't wait for more.
