  1. That is some great work! I have a '67 Ambassador built-up I'm restoring now. A great kit.
  2. Mark Martin, as noted, weighs 130 pounds and I've never once heard anyone claim he had an advantage. Only with Danica does this kind of griping come about. Haters gonna hate. EDIT: Hah, just beaten by the comment above!
  3. I'm fairly sure that's someone's hideous personal custom, not a forthcoming vehicle from the factory. That's an S-Type hood and front fascia on the truck, and the S Type's out of production now. Awful though.
  4. Absolutely remarkable! I love it. I really want to build one myself. Given that the Torino engine and chassis are a drop-in fit, I'm a bit surprised Revell hasn't tooled up a Cyclone body and issued this as a kit.
  5. I built the original release as a Christine. My personal opinion is that once built, painted like Christine, and placed on a shelf, the kit looks fine. I know full well about the body issues but IMO many of those issues go away when painted and presented as Christine. I like to keep in mind that the movie Christine was a driver and not a trailer queen. I liked building the kit, even though I ran into many self-made errors along the way. I may build another and try to make it a bit cleaner.
  6. Beautiful! Which colors did you use for the interior?
  7. All design work is carried out in England. I believe that currently all Jaguar construction is still carried out in England. I love the current Jags and would love to own an XF. Maybe some day....
  8. Closest one I know of is in Portland. Ray and Robin's Hobbies.
  9. That car is just stunning. I've built one, but your model makes me want to build another. Well done.
  10. I've used it as well and like it, but my best results have come after decanting some into a jar and spraying it through an airbrush. For whatever reason when I spray it right from the can I get a ton of bubbles in it that need to be sanded out. Probably user error more than any flaw in the paint itself.
  11. That would be fantastic, and very much appreciated! Thanks!
  12. No. That's the reunion game for the Red Sox Fantasy Camp I attended back in February. A real lifetime thrill to get to play baseball at Fenway Park.
  13. And the S&H car ran these plates. Easy to make over at the ACME plate maker site.
  14. Here I am about to play a game at Fenway Park this past Monday. You betcha I'm happy.
  15. MCW makes a '76 Torino that can be used to make an S&H car. You use a Revell 70 Torino for the running gear (yes, it's technically inaccurate as the '76 was body on frame while the 70 was unibody, but it's close enough for me). You're on your own with painting that stripe, though, I don't think they provide a decal for it and in years of searching I've yet to find a template for masking it off. It really is beyond time the S&H car was kitted in plastic. AMT made a 1/18 scale diecast of it a few years ago, so I guess we can wish for it someday.
  16. The decals were good even after all those years? Great job.
  17. I love it! And I remember that song well.
  18. Hi all, I'm starting to work on my kit of Revell's custom Caddy de Ville, which comes with lowrider tires only. I'd like to give the car more of a stock look; can anyone suggest a wheel/tire combo from Modelhaus or anywhere else that might be more stock appearing? While I realize that the custom front end means the car won't be completely stock, I'd like to get away from the lowrider look for this one. Thanks.
  19. Any AMC Ambassador that JoHan did would be great with me.
  20. If you're using Tamiya paints they'll soak right into the Duplicolor primer, making it difficult to get a smooth finish. I always use Tamiya's primer if I'm using Tamiya sprays because of that reason. Glad to see they're back.
  21. Yup, that's the one that Biggs drives. Cool game for the number of 30s and 40s cars they've included.
  22. Well this is interesting; after playing LA Noire on my 360 I'm thinking of building this very car, color scheme and all, as one of your partners in the game drives one. What colors did you use? I'm thinking of grabbing a Moebius Hudson kit for the chassis and running gear as the wheelbases should be the same.
  23. There have also been a number of new decal releases for the Alfa recently, so it's possible to make many variations of the car besides the ones that came in the kits. It's a great kit overall; I've built the Jager like this one and the red Alfa Corse model as well.
  24. Love it! Makes me want to pull out mine and get to work on it.
