  1. great question Michael, I had been wondering about masking wheel spokes myself.... I'll try the Elmers trick...
  2. that looks pretty good. a very different build. I'd like to have that kit for those wheels/tires...
  3. that looks great!!!! I'd like to know how you made the tire lettering look dirty??
  4. I saw that movie too, and always thought that car was cool!!! looks like a great build so far!!
  5. Great idea Michael... I just got a Hasegawa '89 LeMans Toyota 88C that I want to build in the near future...
  6. I completely agree Bobby!!! same here...
  7. Michael, if you build that RX-7 here anytime soon, let me know how it goes, I have that one to eventually build..
  8. Hasegawa Toyota 88C Hasegawa '75 Lancia Stratos Rally car Revell Kenworth and '57 Chevy Snap kits for my daughter...
  9. GM should buy Chrysler, keep the Jeep brand, and kill the rest, increasing their market share and profiting from Jeep... but thats my .00000002 cents..
  10. I love these informal little shows... I decided to enter a contest for the first time. I entered my 2003 Matt Kenseth Taurus that I have photos of in the Nascar section. I took 2nd place in the Competition class and won $10 in HobbyTown dollars and a Hasegawa Toyota 88C LeMans kit. My 8 yr old daughter entered a Revell '63 Corvette snap kit that we built together, in the junior class, and won 2nd place as well, with another $10 in HobbyTown bucks and a Hasegawa '75 Lancia Stratos Rally car kit. Its a glue kit that she cant build quite yet, so it will be mine and I used both her and mine Hobbytown bucks to get her another Revell snap kit, this time the Kenworth Semi kit. This is her 2nd show in 3 weeks, and she took 3rd in junior and convention center pick at the last show and got 2 nice plaques for the awards. SHe is so proud of them.
  11. Izzy building a NASCAR?!?!?! Is it snowing and below freezing in PR??? looking great so far Izzy!!
  12. I'm always thinking of you guys in Salem, its called Jealousy!!!
  13. Jairus and James are in Salem... I'm from Salem, but have had my head stuck in an oven ( Las Vegas) for 11 years... hope to move home in the next few years..
  14. looks good to me!!!
  15. I got back into when I grew up a little ( just a little bit), and had kids... I found it was the perfect "quiet" hobby to do after the kids were down for the night.... that was also about the same time I found a 1/2 completed original issue Revell '70 AAR Cuda in a box of stuff from my old room my mom sent me...I stripped the old paint that was crazed ( thats why it was in the box) and finished it...
  16. hahaha, same here, except i was born in '77....
  17. Michael, thats a small block chevy in the photo, so unless Moore was running a Chevy in his Ford, thats either the Wrangler Pontiac or Monte....
  18. I like the look!! I have a couple sets of the MRC Keystones, and need to use them... something about Keystones and Mopars, seem to go hand in hand, so maybe a 71 GTX??
  19. Dave, what program do you use to reduce them, and to what size do you reduce them too..
  20. both are interesting ideas, but I would have to vote for the Biscayne....
  21. I have the reissue of the AMT '63 Galaxie I am building, and there are HEAVY mold lines on the front and rear bumpers. I have no way of rechroming these bumpers after removing the mold lines, and it seems it would be just as cost effective to order them already chromed from Modelhaus as it would be to send mine out to Chrome-Tech for replating.. my question is this: will the chromes bumpers from the modelhaus have that mold seams removed before they were chromed??
  22. The '69 Judge spoiler ends came down to meet the quarter panels.. the '70 judge and 442 spoiler is the same...
  23. As far as I know, we havent had a '70 Olds 442 kit since the original Johan issue... and that bothers me as I would really would like to build a few, including a Rallye 350 version. We also havent had a '70 GTO and/or Judge since the AMT kit, and I think a '70 Judge is just about the sexiest '70 model.. I would also love to see a '70 GS455 kit... so heres a couple thoughts... with the success Revell had of modifying the old Monogram '70 mustang tool into the Mach 1 , I think Revell might get similar success modifying the Monogram '70 Buick GSX tooling into a normal GS455, as long as the original GSX tooling is not destroyed in the process. The GSX tooling has by now been well paid for, so the expense of the modified tooling would be less, therefore more profit.... My other thought is this: A new tool '70 Olds 442 with W-30 options, fiberglass dual scoop hood, rear spoiler, and option for the Rallye 350 version. That same tool could be the basis for a new '70 GTO/Judge kit.... on the '70 B.O.P. cars, the frame, front and rear suspension, drveline components, floor pans, glass, exhaust, radiator and core support, firewall and accessories, rear spoiler on 442 and Judge versions, are all the same parts and would interchange, therefore lowering tooling costs. The only parts that would require a seperate tooling cost is engine, wheels, decals, and 75% of the interior parts. seems like a good idea to me, and when money start falling from my backside and I buy Revell, I'll do it....
  24. I saw the trailer tonight..looks pretty interesting. looks like lots of 71-73 Mach 1's and Boss 351's in it...
  25. WOW!!!!!! I am in awe!!!!! I love how smooth your paint jobs are David...
