  1. THis was his first Busch ride. I believe he drove it for 3 races in 1990. Monogram donor and powerslide decals... Tamiya Pure White and clear for the body and Duplicolor Ford Engine blue enamel for chassis. Pro-Tech Roll bar padding. I also removed the a-pillar bars from the kit body, but didnt add them to the chassis( chassis was already done, guess i'll plan ahead next time ). that'll be the next build. This was a couple firsts for me: 1. Made my own roof rails using Evergreen L channel. I think they turned out pretty good. Really my first time fabbing anything... 2. fabbed my own exhaust. The jury is still out on this, I think next time I'll use 1 size larger tubing ( used 3/32" tube on this), and angle it towards the rear more.... _________________
  2. I vote for the steelies and poverty caps...
  3. Tamiya is a synthetic lacquer..any lacquer paint will work.. best option is Tamiya TS-13 clear. its good stuff, put a couple mist coats down for base, then lay down a few wet coats.it goes on very thin, like all tamiya paint, so you will need the heavier wet coats at the ends... its best to clear over tamiya within 30 minutes or wait 30 days.. I have waited 24 hours to clear, and didnt have an issue, but have heard that was pushing it.. I have used Testors model master lacquer clear over Tamiya with mixed results. I dont think Tamiya gloss black likes anything other than Tamiya clear. but I put it over a tamiya chrome yellow base and tamiya pearl clear mid coat with great results. duplicolor import touch up paint clear, is another option. its also lacquer, but i havent tried it over tamiya...

  25. since we are discussing sanding liquid cement.... I use Plastruct plastic weld ( the orange label)....does anyone else have a hard time sanding this stuff?? I have tenax, but cant seem to get it to work. I use a brush, but nothing seems to be on the brush when I pull it out of the tenax bottle. I have considered getting the touch and flow applicator for this stuff.
