  1. Series production of a specified number of vehicles, in order to be eligible for particular racing classes, is the definition of "homologation".
  2. Thanks for the heads-up and the part number. I like SEM products in the real-car shop and use them on models where appropriate. I'll definitely give it a shot.
  3. When my white cat Spooky had to be put down I said the same thing. Then one of the ferals abandoned a kitten a few years back, and he lives inside now. Smart fella, not really happy being an indoor cat (he was indoor-outdoor first 4 years), but so many of the ferals have been squashed by changing-demographic-hotshots in the neighborhood last couple of years, I keep him in now. Speaking of squashed...about 6 months back, another feral kitten adopted me after its mother was killed just as it was being weaned. It's full-grown now, smart enough to stay out of the street so far, follows me around outside like a dog, and runs to greet me when it hears my truck pull in. Last week another feral abandoned another kitten that somehow got inside the house. The mother would never touch it again, even though I put it next to the outdoor food bowl. Anyway, it was getting weaker and weaker so I started feeding it with a dropper and now it's eating wet food and doing just great...though I'm still keeping it outside in a cage. It's so cute I figure after I take it to the vet for the whole tuneup bit in another week or two, somebody will surely want to give it a home. I said no more pets, but they seem to know I have a soft spot for critters that need help...and my indoor cat Spot has probably kept me from going entirely off the stress-rails over the last year or so. Hard to beat a non-judgemental warm fuzzy after an awful day dealing with humans.
  4. Leased vehicles and other property give you zero return on your investment.
  5. Use one of the Paxton centrifugal blowers listed above, fab mounting brackets and a belt drive, use a 4-bbl manifold, scratch or modify something to make the airbox. An old Chevy mechanical fuel injection box might be a place to start for a ribbed airbox. Then make up a connection pipe from the compressor to the airbox from sprue or something similar.
  6. Patch your tires with duct tape!!!
  7. Man...that's something you don't see very often. Very pretty.
  8. ...or a compound-turbo'd direct-injected 1600cc wet-timing-belt 12,000 RPM hand-grenade...
  9. Couch-soft ride was what big American cars offered instead of precise handling in the 1950s.
  10. Sometimes even a blind hog gets an acorn.
  11. If by "SMF" you mean "small block Ford"... There's two on a SBF in the Barris Surf Woody. With a little fab work, you can make it into a single installation. The 1950s and later Paxton is basically the same as a similar period McCulloch...though different. https://www.superchargerhelp.com/showthread.php?9729-Paxton-McCulloch-Supercharger-History-Part-IV&p=62542#post62542 There's a single McCulloch on one of the Revell '57 Fords too, but the engine is a Y-block with a totally different intake manifold from a SBF. The Avanti kit has a Paxton/McCulloch setup too, but of course it's a Studebaker engine.
  12. "Sucked" was what the Earth did to keep everything stuck down before gravity was invented.
  13. Product designs should be tested thoroughly in real-world conditions prior to signing off for production, but the manufacturing industry is moving towards a "zero physical prototype" mindset, which is, frankly, a recipe for disaster down the road.
  14. Have you not learned what Mickey's big and little hands on a clock mean?
  15. Therapist results are entirely dependent on the patient admitting and accepting they have issues they need to address, and no amount of outside influence will have any effect on someone who really believes they're OK when they're not.
  16. Great looking model, very cleanly built. I'd love to have one of those full-scale.
  17. Good clean work. Surely one of the most beautiful performance cars ever built.
  18. Brain-fungus Massospora infecting cicadas turns them into raving zombies, but is not any threat to humans...yet.
  19. Don't be dissin on brain surgeons who identify as clowns now; that might be a protected class.
  20. Dude in the photo just needs a self-driving electric vehicle so he can crawl in the back seat with his blankey and dream of unicorns.

  22. You couldn't make up some of the crazy stuff happening in the world today, and nobody would believe it was remotely realistic if it was presented as fiction.
