Nice work picking out the chassis details. She looks kinda like an empty 'shine "tanker" with the nose down like that. And there are never enough '57 Ford projects. I've always preferred them to the same year Chebbys.

I like it. A lot. This could be the dictionary illustration for "mean looking drag car". Looks like somebody stole your driveshaft though.

Hmmmmmmm...after seeing Stef's post, it looks to me like the only thing you can't buy off the shelf already is the altered wheelbase body. Yeah, you have to buy a few kits and do some bodywork, so save your lunch money and develop a couple new skills. Only thing I can't get on board with is "they should do it for us". OK...like why? How big is the market, really, for an AWB Olds convertible?

Nah. It was kinda complaining about a really good friend, and it's just not necessary.

EDIT: Never mind. Not really worth whining about.

My alter-mater failed a couple days back, the nice fellers at O'reilly's ordered me a new one, it came in this AM, it was the RIGHT one, and ol' Gray is charging at 14.2V again. And I was able to get to the store and back before my battery died, thanks to me thinking ahead and charging it overnight.

Viewers who watch a lot of sports on TV might be healthier if they read the box scores and got some strenuous exercise in the time they saved.

Railroad modeling has that in common with modeling race-cars as they appeared at a particular event. There were almost always differences from one race to the next, and sometimes even during a particular race...like cooling scoops and hoses added for a driver, or damage. I think I only have one EMD SD, either a 7 or a 9, as my layout (not built yet) is set in about 1959...but yours sure make me want to get more. -
Head-cobwebs of the morning variety often retard the boot-up of my brain, so I'm aware of the phenomenon.

Education can be worthwhile, or just a time-waster that results in a certificate hanging on the wall, with zero useful knowledge or skills to justify it.

SD-40's HO Scale

Nice work, and nice to see varying levels of weathering. The brighter repainted or repaired areas on the nose of 3771 are a nice touch. I've seen a lot of that kind of thing in reality over the years. Anyone who watches trains at all should have noticed every locomotive (or car) looks a little different, even occasionally a shiny new or repainted/rebuilt one in a chain of grotty ones. Did you also add the air hoses, coupler lift-bars, chains etc.? -
Posts that hold fences are pretty smart compared to some folks.

Learn how to do something well, or how something works, or the actual facts, before you give others "expert" advice on the subject.

Lots of "spoof" sites too, that look like the real deal, but don't do anything but get your debit and credit card numbers and clean out your account, or run up bills to the limit. I posted a warning about one such site, masquerading as a reputable reseller of used model train stuff, over in the "off topic" section.

"Cantata" sounds like a baby trying to say "can of potatoes".

So were these... EDIT 2: The North American Aviation P-51 Mustang (above right) went from napkin sketch to completed prototype airframe in just under 120 days, though due to delays with engine development didn't fly for six more weeks...when it achieved 382 MPH. EDIT: The first A-12 prototype of the Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird (above) flew in 1962. Lockheed's first foray into CAD systems was in 1965, on IBM 360s, using IBM 2250 graphics display terminals.
