  1. I'd pay a dollar to see the savings worked out using the convoluted gibberish they teach as arithmetic in Common Core.
  2. My first truck models were the first issues of the Revell '56 Ford pickup and the AMT '62 Apache, both mildly customized, and both of which took trophies at the local hobby shop contest...and were subsequently totally destroyed during a fit of rage (not mine). Some time later came the AMT '53 Ford pickup, which I built as a service vehicle with the welding tanks in the bed. Next was another Revell '56 Ford, which I started to modify into a cabover, open double-decker 2-car transporter, and never finished. Long long time ago...
  3. ^^^ Peanut the previous poster would be well advised to read and follow the game rules, else there is no "game", just loosely connected sentences.
  4. Picnic for the tiger turned out to be Bill himself, and only his elephant mourned his passing.
  5. Competition for resources has been the bane of humankind since well before the beginning of recorded history.
  6. Us lice are offended by that remark, and consider an infestation to be interspecies cultural enrichment on a personal level.
  7. HID lamps (high intensity discharge) have greater energy efficiency than incandescent lamps, emitting more lumens per watt, and are, to me, the best choice for ultra bright long-range headlights.
  8. "Better Living Through Chemistry" was a variant of an advertising slogan used by DuPont as far back as 1935, but the last several unencumbered-by-knowledge generations have adopted it oh-so-cleverly to refer to drug use.
  9. I really like that. We used to call it "squished bug green".
  10. Wow. I have a couple of these in 1/24, but thanks to you, now I NEED one in 1/12. Cool project. I'll be following.
  11. Nice seeing one of these built. I buggered one as a kid, have a couple newer issues to get to someday. Cool you got a ride in Fifi. Did you ever see the story of her being dragged out of the desert and restored to flying condition? Pretty amazing amount of sweat and expertise. PS: Williams has some nice large scale aircraft engine kits too.
  12. Puzzle toys may result in improvement in problem-solving ability, or much throwing and smashing and stomping and crying.
  13. Doc Martens hold you to the ground in case of high wind.
  14. Own nothing, be happy, and eat ze bugs.
  15. Turismo Bodine's mother was going to name him Superleggera, but changed her mind.
  16. There's never been a shortage of chimps using the wrong tool for every job imaginable.
  17. As the windshield on this car is not compound-curved, making a better looking replacement from flat clear plastic stock is relatively straightforward.
  18. Significant improvement in overall shape and lines, definitely.
  19. Fart can exhaust systems add at least 100 horsepower and make everyone think your clapped out Toyota or Honda is a real race car that probably ran at LeMans.
  20. TODAY I GOT A FAKE EMAIL SUPPOSEDLY FROM NETFLIX SAYING MY PAYMENT DETAILS NEEDED TO BE UPDATED. KINDA ODD , 'CAUSE I DON'T HAVE NETFLIX. ANYWAY, THE ORIGINATING ADDRESS WAS OBVIOUSLY NOT CORRECT, SO I FORWARDED THE EMAIL TO "phishing@netflix.com". A LITTLE RESEARCH SHOWS THIS PARTICULAR INCARNATION IS A FAIRLY RECENT VERSION OF ONE THAT'S BEEN GOING ON FOR YEARS. AS ALWAYS, LOOK CAREFULLY AT THE ORIGINATING ADDRESS OF ANY REQUEST FOR ACCOUNT INFO UPDATES, ESPECIALLY IF YOU ACTUALLY HAVE AN ACCOUNT WITH THE SUPPOSED SERVICE PROVIDER. DO NOT CLICK ON LINKS, OR PROVIDE ANY PERSONAL OR FINANCIAL INFO, AND IF YOU THINK THE EMAIL MIGHT BE LEGIT, SIMPLY CONTACT THE SERVICE PROVIDER DIRECTLY. IN SPITE OF THE WARNINGS, PEOPLE ARE STILL LOSING MILLIONS OF DOLLARS ANNUALLY TO THESE SCAMS, SO PAY ATTENTION. FOR MORE INFO: https://help.netflix.com/en/node/65674
  21. Rome is where you're supposed to do as the Romans.
