  1. If I had an iphone I'd probably get it. But as I don't/won't. Is such a program available for a non(i)computer?
  2. Thanks for the update Sean. Didn't know of the change. BTW great models.
  3. That has to be one of the most inovative videos I've seen in a while. And the perfect thing toshare on a web site like this.
  4. Sad to say it, but I too hoped to become a adult in such a world. But Washington had other ideas.
  5. The good news is it is a good site. The bad news is Mark hasn't updated his site in several years. Been there, read everything available... several times.
  6. Don't see many of these. Good project. Going to keep an eye on this one.
  7. Dr. Cranky loves all things rat and rusty, so I was wondering. Could this be his next project? http://autos.yahoo.c...-152856762.html Or is it still too shiny? This project would be off the beaten path... waaaaaay off.
  8. I ignored it when they first came out. Won't ignore it this time.
  9. Back in the early '90s, one of the editors commented to a writer as to why they had so few Mopars in their mag. The quote as I remember it was "We don't need to show Mopars to sell our magazine". I quit my subscription after that, as in my opinion, they did need them. Then later (IIRC) Hot Rod did one of the dumbest articles ever printed on a Mopar, or any car for that matter. Chip Foose's Sniper. They made a joke out of it. Not a good way to run a magazine. Chasing off potential customers with poorly written articles irrespective of subject matter. When they start publishing Mopars again, maybe I pickup a copy. Maybe. I do however, wish them good fortune in their format change.
  10. A '71 Plymouth Satellite was my first car. Bought it new when I got back to the world. Wish I still had it.
  11. IIRC Jo-Han did a Chrysler 300 for '63.
  12. Not into Ferraris myself, but his tutorials are top notch. Thanks Skip.
  13. Great info, thanks Casey.
  14. Great lookig Charger. Love the color and details.
  15. Fantastic underhood detail. Great build.
  16. I think these kind of cars are referred to as Muscle Rods. Going to watch this one.
  17. I love this idea. Going to keep an eye on this one.
  18. I might buy one copy if it were produced, but I really doubt it. Now talk '49 Bulletnose Stude and I'd get a case.
  19. One word, Daimler. They controled Chrysler at that time and even though the Charger show car was a hit with the public, they were too concervative in their views and didn't understand th American car buyer. So they produced a plain vanilla version of the car. Today we have in the new '11 Charger, without Daimler's interference, a car much closer to the original show car. If this isn't enough to convince you, think back to the PT Cruiser, written up by the press as the most inovative car of the last 40 years, the beginnings of modern retro design. Think about of the color choises. Gramdpa and Grandma would be right at home with Daimler's dark and drab, bland choises. It took (American) public pressure to get some of the hotter colors.
  20. Same here. Well done.
  21. It's great seeing an old beauty like the Imperial done so well.
  22. Yes it was. Polar Lights reissued 'Dick Tracy's Space Coupe' a few years ago. Can still be found on some hobby shop shelves and of course evilBay. It's actually Dick Dean's Shalako minus body. It's the third in a series from MPC. Shalako http://www.showrods....es/shalako.html Skorpion http://www.showrods....s/skorpion.html And Your Fun Bug http://www.showrods....es/fun_bug.html
  23. Got mine Saturday. Great contest coverage as always. My only nit is the models are shown in a single view. I know this is to allow the most coverage and space limitations, but if I might suggest... set up a new category. One solely for contest coverage. Each thread would be of a given contest and show multiple shots of the models. I also think to keep from us mucking up the thread it should be locked at inception. Look but don't touch kinda thing.
  24. Different for sure. And quite pleasing. Love the 'What If' factor.
