  1. Glad to hear that Steve, as someday I plan to do it up original. Now if only I could find a 1/25 Lloyd Bridges to drive it.
  2. I love the smell of MC23 in the morning! LOL Great job.
  3. That really is a hard question to answer. What began as a one of a kind show car, was later butchered by Ford, before it was stolen. In the beginning, the car had a two tone (candy?) red over (pearl?) white, powered by a Buick nail head and riding on chromed wire wheels. None of this is in the kit, from first issue to last release. Enter Ford and their "better" idea. Two tone gone for what looks like in my photos a garnet red or maroon, hard to say as the old photos didn't hold up to the passage of time. The Buick was replaced with a Ford whatever, a chrome panel insert by the side exhaust pipes and the wires gave way to custom mags. This is the version in the kit, except for the mags, IIRC you've got a set of Hilborne (sp) racing mags and a set of Crager 5 spoke mags. And then... (as the old serials use to say) it was stolen and disappeared from sight forever into someone's private collection. At least that's what I'd like to believe, as I'd hate the idea of some idiot kid stealing it for a joy ride and destroying it.
  4. I remember this build-up. The new photos are great, Cesar. Thanks.
  5. What about the tractor too? Schneider has a custom designed truck that it turns out every year for what run I don't remember. Anyway it's just an idea. Here's their 2008 design.
  6. True, but Japanese to English is an acid trip. And thanks DamnCranky for the link. Excellent diorama. And your article in the current issue of Model Cars is great too.
  7. Well, the photo of the Jeep might indeed be a fake, but it sure brought back memories of circumnavigating Oahu. Especially the north shore area in an Opel Kadette, back in '72 or '73.
  8. Just saw it myself. Glad it's still on. One of my favorite BBC America programs.
  9. They look great diymirage. Do you have anything for Mopars?
  10. Absolutely beautiful.
  11. Still waiting on mine. Hope it'll be here soon. Haven't gotten my April SA either, but with so few pages, I wonder if it's really worth it.
  12. Saw the pre-painted one at my LHS the other day. Are they still planning on an all plastic kit?
  13. All I can say is Fantastic. Great paint job on top of a beautiful build.
  14. Perry McCarthy, a previous Stig who wore a black suit, was fired off the deck of a warship after revealing his role as the character in his autobiography. Too funny.
  15. Gotta agree, especially since I love Mopars. I'm glad to see a (very) decent build of the Volare.
  16. I'm going to go a bit off topic here. I'm going to move back closer to the original thread. LordAirGuitar, IIRC, yes that was Ferdinand Porsche's prototype for the KDF or People's Car as it became to be known.
  17. No convertibles were ever made into AARs by the factory. But don't let that stop you from building a phantom AAR convertible. Darin, This is great. Looking forward to the next installment.
  18. I guess it depends on which "Sport" their promoting.
  19. I'm really diggin' this true fire stuff. Love the look. Fantastic job overall.
  20. Wow!!! Beautiful job on the Charger. Absolutley love it. Your attention to details is fantastic. Makes me wish Dave B would bring it back out as a Model King release.
  21. Especially if they'd release more Mopars (the Challenger F/Cs are a GREAT start!!!). Or the olde but goody Double Dragster kit last done as a Blueprinter special in the mid(?) '90s.
  22. Love this stuff Jarius. The Dec '72 CycleToons issue is very interesting, especially if you've seen the Harley Davison's new, for 2007, Christmas commericals. Is history repeating itself? Their "Be bad for badness' sake" schitck.
  23. Sorry to hear about Jeff's problems. Hate those fools too. Didn't get hit by a hacker, as least not this time. Took on a zero drive buster of somesort, from all places, Norton! While downloading an update. Main drives trashed, now waiting on Dell to send tech with new drive. On an 8 year old laptop right now. Don't really understand these cro-magnon types myself, but look forward to the day their treated like "Osama's Yo-Mamas" boys. Hunted down and dispatched without mercy!
