Never Say Never about old kits. "New Era Modeling"
Fat Brian replied to stavanzer's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Personally, as a younger builder with no nostalgia for older kits I wish tooling dollars would be spent on new kits of those subjects instead of recreating old kits. -

You can buy the 454 from the Baldwin Motion kit on ebay. -
2023 Cannonball Run Build Theme Suggestions
Fat Brian replied to White Rabbit's topic in Community Builds
The Musketball, like a Cannonball but smaller and a lot less powerful. The real Musketball race was limited to 100 hp and intended to be cheap fun instead of a big budget race. I'm sure we can tweak the specific rules and still keep the low budget feel. -
Honestly that's pretty bad, I would try to find someone parting out the kit and buy another body.

Buying Options For Duplicolor
Fat Brian replied to oldcarfan's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I buy primer by the case from Amazon. I try to find colors at parts stores but no one around here carries more than a small shelf so it can be hit or miss, especially for less common colors. -
Songs that are total rip offs of other songs.

The song "Somebody" off an early Blue October album is a near direct copy of "Whatever" by Godsmack. Blue October Godsmack -
I have to agree with Craig, I got my v12 yesterday and it's incredible.

I always under coat Tamiya or Duplicolor paints with Duplicolor white primer because it strips easily in super clean. I've saved many bodies this way.

I've decided to build two cars, the 30 is the west coast asphalt car and I'm going to do a 29 roadster in east coast style. The 29 will be on 32 rails with a warmed up flat head. I borrowed the center frame member from a Revell 32 to bring the frame closer to stock. I also cut the pleated areas from the interior so it looks like bare metal.

Sad news,Comedian Gallagher passed away
Fat Brian replied to NYLIBUD's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
As a child of the 80s he was everywhere when I was a kid. -
They're gone, going from my purchase history shows the old listing but if I open ebay in a new tab they're not listed in his store anymore. I bought these when I was still planning a sand build so I might not be using them anymore. Let me look once they get here, if I'm not going to use them I'll let you know.

Those are likely leftovers from the custom version on the 72 convertible, though that doesn't rule out a future custom release.

Ok, I'll check it out.

Here's a link to the transmission and some of the other items are in his store. I've gotten several of his prints and everything has been very nice, I always spend the extra couple bucks for the smoothest fine detail print. https://www.shapeways.com/product/P3GYZ77WT/lasalle-transmission-for-olds

Believe me, I understand that it's a difficult thing to do. Maybe if I can figure out Blender I'll come up with something.

What I personally would love is a full independent rear end with the transaxle, A arms, axle shafts, and brakes all together. Basically a drop in unit to convert about anything to mid engine. It would need to come in two widths to account for the body size of what it's going in and the offset of the wheels going on and have bellhousing options for common swaps.
