  1. Lol! my buddy was running Pete flaps on his CH-600 Mack, bothered me so bad I bought him a new set of Bulldog flaps!..........................Mark
  2. I'm liking this truck JT! this reminds me of a "hot-shot" truck like the ones used in oil fields for emergency and just in time deliveries, maybe a big valve or pipe would be a suitable load?.........................................Mark
  3. JT is correct,in these originated in Austrailia and are indeed called "roo bars" designed for the protection of the radiator/front end components in the event of contact with wildlife especially kangaroos (hence the name) they have only caught on here in the states in the past few years, but are becoming a much more common sight on U.S. trucks...........................................Mark
  4. Very nice work, some great photography as well,a very realistic build to say the least! my compliments on a job well done!.....................Mark

  9. That's gonna be something Sean! heres one I found (Transtar II) but maybe some inspiration? don't know anything about this truck, but noticed it had a Jersey plate (my former home state)..................................Mark
  10. Thanks again JT! the cabover was my first brand new truck,so it will always have a special place with me,i sold it to a friend of mine in Jersey who used it for up till about 2000 hauling locally. Same guy bought the CH conventional, took the sleeper off and pulled a dump trailer with it for quite a few years after I had it. Both are long gone now,but I have good memories of both truck. I still miss the cabover today! some of the places I go to are NOT made for a "hood" Lol! (I deliver LTL furniture specializing in the Northeast) I go to some TERRIBLE places to back into! I spent 22 years leased to Atlas Van Lines, starting in household goods, then eventually transferred to Electronics/Trades show division. I thought you guys might get a kick out of this picture, the one and only surviving picture of my very first truck,my 1976 Mack F-Model,i bought when I was 16! I had a driver in it till I was old enough to drive myself, started working for my Dad and Grandfather running locally, hauling farm produce apples/peaches and freight in the winter......................Mark
  11. Cappy,my Dad also had a CO-4070 as his "starter" truck,it was an ex-Ryder rental tractor,VT-903 Cummins,10 speed Road-Ranger. He was so UN-impressed with the engine,he traded the IH in on a brand new White-Freightliner C.O.E...............................Mark
  12. I like this little truck! not a huge Peterbilt fan (sorry) but I really enjoy seeing any "Old School" looking truck built, reguardless of maker. Some really nice work Sean,i forgot to ask where the 5-hole steer axle wheels came from?.................................................Mark
  13. Atta' boy Sean! one of my alltime favorite kits, glad to see it saved. Some of these days I'm going to try and replicate my Dads CO-4070................................................Mark
  14. I would think the current Road Boss/Western Star would be a suitable donor kit? given Autocar was part of the Volvo/White/GMC group and shared many of the same components/chassis. But just a guess?...........................Mark
  15. Having seen the 1:1 truck several times, and know the owners/drivers this is one great subject, the real truck is awesome! that thing is a beast! very nice work on this,i cant wait to see more updates............................Mark
  16. Adventures in trucking! I know the feeling!...............................................Mark
  17. Thank you JT! my ol'girl is my pride and joy,i'm very "anal" about clean and neat! Lol! here are a couple of my other trucks, 1988 Mack MH I bought new,and the 1995 CH that replaced it,also bought new..............................Mark

  23. I bought a set of these a few years back and really like them for "tight spots" they work great for me,especially on engraved trademarks and the like..............................Mark
  24. I didn't realize this was going to be such a tough kit to source! I did however have an epiphany, and ordered this kit today, looks to be the body I need and I can amass all the other parts from existing kits. Any ideas on a chromed Jag rear? Being primarily a heavy truck builder, not all that familiar with whats what in car kits..................................Mark
  25. Two separate kits, two different trucks, the CO-4070A was the predecessor to the Transtar series.........................Mark
