  1. Is all you want the dodgefever decals alone , large and small ? If so, I got em. Just need address
  2. Thanks, Been looking thru any - all decals sheet I have here Found the NHRA decal on the recent MPC Challenger funnycar sheet Although its not the exact decal from back then , It will work just fine for my shelf No luck of any kind finding the Plymouth race team decal anywhere, and doubt I will
  3. I'll ck the stash later today
  4. Jake King ( S+M head mechanic for ages ) started as a diehard Ford man. But gained his notoriety with S+M . He actually campaigned a light blue Ford Thunderbolt back in the day BUT, to remain close to his roots so to speak . All the S+M engines were painted Ford blue back then
  5. Anyone know of any decal sheets that contain any or all of the following in scale ?
  6. Engine repainted the correct Ford Blue And I have to give a huge shoutout on the AFB carbs by Fireball. These things are miniature works of art There is no kit carb that comes even close to the detail these have for something so small Fireball Modelworks home page
  7. Can anyone tell me what the decal is on the front fender, Below the belvedere emblem forward of the wheel opening? It looks like it MIGHT be a Champion or maybe B+M decal???? What about the oval decal on drivers window? small rectangular one on lower quarter window. Below Hurst decal? I'm trying to make this a reasonably accurate version of the actual car back in the day. Had to buy a 2nd decal sheet to get the trunk lid decal Early car had said trunk decal and NO hood scoop. Scoop was added at some point, then later the d=trunk decal was eliminated. Im undecided if I will add the scoop or not I got a resin bench seat in from Harts parts, Its not dead on accurate. But close enough I can live with it.
  8. All I can say is WOW !!!! Impressive is an understatement And to think Im happy if my added spark plug wiring lays out to look kinda sort real
  9. I Just did this very trick for the first time.( only not a ford ) Works very well Very light coats. let each one flash over a few minutes before the next, about 3rd or 4th pass it will have a nice clean color I pulled the tape off after about 10-15 minutes ( its lacquer ) This is all rattle cans btw
  10. I have 2 interiors painted One in pearl white And a 2nd in semi gloss black....just in case. Head rests are modified from the AMT 1968 roadrunner kit Dash is done for both this S+M car. And the red one is for the Grotheer car. Simultaneous build
  11. Made my day. The final piece I needed to replicate my actual car( outside of the correct interior, But I can live with the 67 if needed ) 1966 Satellite spinner hubcaps https://www.ebay.com/itm/376110482918
  12. well, I just sent he McCandless family a message Hoping maybe Herb remembers the car Mike McCandless owns several of the for S+M cars https://www.soxandmartin.com/ PS, If you really zoom in on these 2 pictures It sure looks like white head rests to me. In any of the pictures I can find of what looks like a stock GTX , None have a class designation in the windows. Which makes me beginning to think it was a very early photo op moment OR it's a Show car / Clinic exhibit car only
  13. Anyone able to confirm or dispute The 440 GTX had white interior.?? Sure looks like it in the pics Ive found so far The car on the left in both pictures
  14. Anyone picked up one of the various Dodges avail now?
  15. Many many thanks. I got decals on it yesterday. Clear on it today , I had a slight snafu as the decals are getting old and Ronnie Soxs name fell off on both sides. So after a light mist coat. I layed them back on , then buried them in clear But I have to say. Im am over the moon happy with how the clear layed down. Amazing for Duplicolor 1K straight from the rattle can clear 2 maybe 3 real light mist coats, then 2 or 3 wet coats. Decals are a little thick . As I can see the edges of them. But,,I think I can live with it Now to let it sit a few days while I work on the rest of the build Also. Have rolling stock picked out. Redlines and Blue Streaks for the win
  16. Looks killer Sure wish we could get a Dodge truck of similar era
  17. Thanks. Yes....dist was installed where it should be . ..right front
  18. Ah dangit, I forgot about that part. Thanks
  19. Best info I can come up with is the car that was actually a 1967 GTX was a 440 4spd car Which is the one I've decided to replicate I'll be using the RB engine parts from the Revell Dart kit to Replicating a 440 4 spd drivetrain. The Hemi is for the Grotheer car I completely missed the car did not have rocker mldgs or wheel lip mldgs. The paint on this one came out far too nice to risk sanding them off and touchup the paint. So they will just not get BMF on them. Tamiya White, Red for the sides and light metallic blue for the top and stripes ( those were fun to tape up )
  20. Thanks, I have a Harts Parts bench seat on order. Issue it for me its not technically correct . Its just a slightly modified rear seat. And I'll use if if I must. But am looking for a better option closer to a factory pattern ,,,IF I can find one Info Im finding so far is S+M had a 1967 GTX, 440 4spd, And a 1967 Belvedere , hemi 4spd ( original RO23 car I assume ) which would have a very different seat upholstery pattern. This car had GTX lettering , but still had the upper body line moulding 1967 Plymouth HEMI Belvedere and 440 GTX – Sox & Martin
  21. Ok, Not sure where else to ask this. But I have a few of these kits Im wanting to get some kind of plan in place for I have decals for the Jack Werst Mr 5+50 car, SS/BA which would be hemi Auto, So was it column shift or some kind of aftermkt floor shifter ? As well as for the Stahl - Stiles Performance car which was SS/B so would be hemi 4spd But finding reference pics and / or information seems to be a bit tough I believe both cars were in Fact RO23 cars , so Both cars started out white, Were both cars black interior as were all RO23 cars ? Did either / or both cars have the back seat ? Best I can tell Both cars were a 1967 Belvedere, So that requires changing / modifying the rear trunk panel , If I so dare attempt to go down that rabbit hole. Plus Both cars were bench seat And is NOT simply adding material between the bucket seats Thinking maybe use the back seat from the Lindberg 64s , Or maybe the bench seat from the AMT 1968 Roadrunner What interior does the recent 1965 Belvedere have in it ? Anyone has any info or pics they care to share , post away please ps, and on a side note. It would appear the Grotheer car was in fact NOT an RO car 1967 Plymouth Belvedere II For Sale At Auction - Mecum Auctions
  22. Same here. I use Lacquer almost exclusively Primarily due to color options avail in rattle cans ( thank you Duplicolor touch up paints )
  23. I clear coat all 99% of the builds I do. It helps to protect and keeps them in place down the road Ive used Testors enamels, Tamiya lacquers , as well as Upohl, and Duplicolor Urethane clears all sprayed right out of the can with no issues to date ( knocks on wood )
